Call me clueless if you want. It's no problem for me. Me and mine don't have to eat there. :)

Hungry horse, new restaurant located ?
I will be in town next week w the family and want to take them out to eat verses just cooking at the land.
Is it towards HOWARD'S, or towards the H S ?
Poor,Poor Scott! He thinks he is reading the Rattan Forum! He posted about the football coach's salary and now about the Hungry Horse Diner, still under the impression that both are Rattan happenings! I hope you enjoy your stay in downtown Cloudy!!

I am all for shopping and dining in Antlers, but as you know, most retail businesses in Antlers either don't open at all on Saturday or are only open until noon, leaving us with no choice but to shop in Paris, Durant or Sherman/Denison. Very few area workers get off in time to shop after work, since retailers also close around 5 p.m.. Now I hear our newest restaurant isn't open in the evening, so our only choices to eat in Antlers are Mexican, Mexican or Mexican. Not even UnAble to barbecue is boiling their beef with barbecue sauce on it at this time! I only hope the funeral home doesn't decide to be open only on mondays, wednesdays and fridays!!

I've eaten at the HH a couple of times now. Still have yet to draw a final conclusion, but one thing I wish they would change is their fries. I appreciate that they are trying to do something different with fresh cut fries and all, but fresh cut fries kinda suck if not done perfect. Otherwise they are just soggy, limp taters. If that is your best attempt at fresh cut fries, go back to regular french fries frozen in a sack. Not as appealing to the ear, but much better in your mouth.

So, is the food worth the money? I don't mind paying 7.99 or 8.99 for a dinner if it is good. Dinner options suck in this town. I have a big family and when I give 40 to 50 dollars a pop, it sucks when you get a crappy meal.

Huh? I can barely even understand your incoherent jibberish. After long hours of crunching numbers, I was able to compute the number of hours in a day the HH is open. It is greater than 3, you idiot. Perhaps you should keep your uneducated, illiterate mouth shut. You are the last person a businss owner should take advice from.

I was informed we made Topix and though I normally do not read this site nor comment I feel it necessary to clarify some comments I have just read. First we never did any "poaching" to hire anyone...everyone employed filled out an application, was interviewed and then hired. We did not want the diner to close as we opened our establishment to offer more to Antlers...not compete. Secondly, our hours were established and did not change until Monday...we never claimed to be open in the evening; furthermore we never stated that we would not open during the evening hours eventually. I invite anyone that has commented to open your own restaurant and stand by your own comments...hire good employees, stay open every day, night & weekend and make sure you please every single person with what they specifically want...just to enlighten those that don't know...it isn't that easy. At this time we are learning what we need to do to make our community happy...it does not happen overnight though. One last thing...our hours ARE posted on our facebook page and on the window. I invite everyone to come visit us and would hope that instead of "bashing" us after 3 weeks of being open you would support a new business. This will be my only post on this site but I do invite you to follow us on facebook and get the real version of what our intentions are and to give us a chance before shutting us down. Thank you for your time.
