We should be more concerned about how things are run. The "money" will all come from the city since appointed/elected "city" officials are in charge of our money. Better pay attention to what they vote to do with it. Because of lawsuits, you will probably see a tax increase.

Wonder if the current board of LES realizes their "financial responsibility" and that they can be sued personally?

Dont you mean, they dont tell it the way you want it told. When actually they report the truth. Im going to bet you are either one of the previous LES board members or their daughter. Now this 'uneducated little town' is getting wise to the fact that they gave a full years salary to one of the board members son, who had only worked ONE year, and screwed everything up. On top of that they previous board member want us, the citizens, to pay for their attorney's now ever though they are no long part of the LES board. Yeah we are really 'uneducated' for not going along with that /smirk.

And you are probably one of Bobby's supporters. Let's talk about "screwed everything up". You must be referring to the low number of outtages we had while Mr. Ujcich was in charge. You must be referring to the preventive maintenance he put in place to prevent interruptions. You must also be referring to the technology he put in place for quicker response times. Look back at what the city has done previously with the LES personnel. Finally, go to city hall and ask for Bobby Dyer's resignation letter from the LES when HE managed the utility. You are uneducated for going along with Bobby's crazed influence on Lexington. And....if this is you Bobby.....you are going down!

crazed influences? What a joke.
And what on earth would his resignation from over 30 years ago have to do with what is going on now?

Bottom line is all of us 'uneducated' people simply do not like the fact that the former board gave and employee a full years salary, when that employee had only worked one year. Come on...no company I have ever heard of gives that large of compensation packages...much less when it's done on our dime. And the icing on the cake is he was son of one of the board members. Had Dyer gave his son a years salary for compensation you would be having a fit.

Just started reading these posts today. WOW. Glad I moved away. I remember living in Lexington when Bobby resigned due to "politics". I am sure that is what the original poster is replyen to. Before you balst him, why don't you trek down to city hall and get a copy under the FOI act. Seems like Dyer had been fired from every job he had in Lexington. He was a joke when i left. I worked at Leroy Somer when he got fired from there. I remember him as a little insecure pup thatn would jump at his own shadow. He liked the women though!

Several companies pay out severance packages similar to what the electric guy got. You need to research before you say anything else. You just keep sticking your foot in yo mouth

Mayor Dyer had the charter changed to create an independent electric board. He hand picked the members, who were to act independently. Then he wanted the charter changed back, for the city to have oversight. Sounds like the independent board acted independently.

Anybody that knows the former independent power board realizes what is going on here. If you know them, you have heard from their own mouths the crap that BD put them through. I have know Mike Ujcich since he moved to Lexington. I have known Matt since he was a boy. You can't find a more honest and caring family. Margaret has been a friend since we were tots. Great people. Don Mclamb is a gentleman. Jimmy Stanfill would never harm the city he calls home. If you know them, you know what i say to be true. No allegations. No rumors. Just an honest opinion from someone who know them all. Unfortunately, I know Bobby too. On that note, if you cannot say something good.

Many of you are in the same position. Ask yourself, who do you think is telling the truth?

Talk about getting your head out of the sand. Yours is stuck deep deep in the ground.
None of what you said has truth to it. Milam and Dyer have been close friends til now. Now that she want do his dirty work and mistreat the employees at LES. Hey the man is running on empty fumes when it comes to real friends.

In all Nightengale is saying it is ok to fire a bunch of employees that have worked at LES for several many years and has always done their jobs. Only because they do not care for Dyer or are friends with Cogdell. That is the real issue here...Dyer takes his vengance to a whole other level. I mean the man even told if you got caught at Cogdell's office you would be fired. The police were telling on everyone that was going in Cogdell's. That is what your tax dollars are being spent to do. I am just telling the truth and I don't care what anyone has to say about it. He can threaten people with his little hand book all he wants. .. He can not override the state or federal laws. ...He did the same thing at Leroy. He had his own employee rule book printed up and threatened people with it. His book has no merit.

They are not running. I predict that one week from now, we will not hear from you again. You will be on the wrong side at that point. One week. You say anything else about Mike Ujcich and I'll personally track you down and show you what a crappy mood I am in. QUIT USING THE REAL FLORENCE's SCREEN NAME!
