Anybody know of any one hiring? I have a bachelors in business and working on my masters in psychology. Will look into anything as long as it pays the majority of my bills.

I am moving to the area soon.
I just finished my Masters in Counseling and Psychology. I gave my BA in Criminal Justice and legal studies.
I know that here may not be the best place to job hunt, but If someone could be kind enough to point us in the right direction....maybe names of agencies close?? 20-30 miles radius? or Employment agencies etc.
I am currently working in the mental health field with children but have adult experience as well.
I also have a couple of years of Substance abuse counseling with children and adults so my options are very open.
ANY and ALL help is greatly appreciated.
we are looking forward to moving into the home there in Dickson ASAP!!
Thank you again!!

I would look into nashville. It's a drive, but the money you could make there would be well worth it. Dickson has nothing worth while.

Do you have some names of particualr agencies?
I have tried to Google things but specifics are not coming up.
I think our home is only about 35 miles so it may not be that bad of a drive.
again, THANK YOU!:)

Does anyone know anything at all? I'm down to my last hundred bucks. I'm open to a lot but I'm actually finding that I'm "over qualified" because of my college education. Not my words. Theirs. I'm close to ending up on the streets. Please help, I've never been without a job or in this position.

Legally, they can not NOT hire you because you are over qualified and they certainly are not allowed to tell you that- it is discrimination.
There are a lot of people who retire and then only want to work part-time, have spouses that do well enough that they chose to work part-time, or that want to work out of their educational field...etc as you know the list goes on and on.
I am sorry to hear you are having trouble as well.
I have just started mailing and submitting resumes whether there is a job "opening" or not. This way, they have my resume and they will see that I am interested in employment- Plus, you never know, they may have an opening or decide to CREATE a postion to employ the right person.
I am still in need of agency names and numbers, but I started with the phone book and am going rom there.
Wishing ALL of us the best of luck!!:)

Yea I know all that mess but it still happens. I would love to work in an agency while I'm finishing my masters even if it was just administrative. At this point I need anything. I am officially broke for the first time in my life and a week and a half away from losing everything.
