You are right.

It all started in earnest with the 12th post on the thread. This post was made by a person who wants to run for Mayor and is trying to tear down others to win and force her agenda on everyone. She was played like a fiddle by the developers, who wined and dined her and obviously paid for a professional web site she claims was hers alone. She was their chief lobbyist and never got over that the place was not built even though the board approved it.

It's a shame she took this blog negative with an attempted cheap shot in an effort to jump right past a trustee role and go directly for the position of Mayor.

I personally am not interested in hearing her BS and whining about her pet project that half the town did not want. What I want to know is what are her qualifications to take over and run the multi million dollar entity called the Village of Antioch. She wants responsibility for a 11million dollar annual budget and it is time to PROVE she can handle it and all that goes with it. As a taxpayer, I am not interested in any more amateurs running this town. They nearly broke its financial back with dumb decisions the current board is still grappling with.

Wow. You are one revisionist malcontent. You failed to mention the miles of streets in Antioch upgrades that have nothing to do with rte 83. When is the last time you drove in Depot, Wood Creek, Club Lake,,Deercrest, North Ave east of 83 (sidewalks) and west of 83 (road) Tiffany, and many many miles more? And by the way, if you think 83 would be done yet without all the efforts made downstate by our town, you are living in an alternate universe.
You have conveniently ignored all the developments listed and all the other progress made as listed. Any major projects in the Illinois towns you have listed were underway well before the recession. Even most of what is in Kenosha near I - 94 started pre recession, and they have the benefit of a state that actually built a 4 way interchange off the freeway. Same at 156 in Pleasant Prairie. And by the way, if you think everything is so great up there, take a drive through the deserted shopping center along Green Bay Road north of 50.
I cant speak for Urp, but i am not a Trustee. Never would be because I would not put up with whining half wits like you. You apparently live your life seeing a half full glass and expecting everyone to deliver miracles to your doorstep. I attend Board meetings 12-15 times a year. You obviously don't or you would know how hard they are working to deliver for the residents. And one final point: you dismiss the new pool with a "are you kidding me" as if it is not important while demanding to know why the new business park is not filled as a result of Board action. The TRUTH is, they are doing all they can to help the developer who is competent and has even more motivation to get the place going. Obviously they don't have the magic wand you expect either. On that point, write a letter to the morons in Springfield and tell them you demand a miracle at I-94 and 173. I am sure that with all your contributions to the good of the community that they will find money in some welfare fund to get the project moving. Or write to your BS liar of a president to get off his a&& and get the economy going.
It is truly a shame that there are half baked goofs like you spouting half baked opinions. You don't want me on your porch. The setting straight would wither your feeble knowledge of reality. If things are so bad, why don't you get involved? Whining here fixes the following:,
Thank you God for giving us a perfect mayor and board. We have been lifted out of the depths of hell by our lord Larry and king Crosby. We have been saved Halaluya!!!! They should run for president and vice president so they can save the country. We have been saved.

I will give you a grammar lesson moron. You NEVER start a sentence with AND. What does the word Pdid mean? I think you should check your grammar before you correct anyone else. I'm sure you try to nit pick others to make yourself look good. A paper bag over your head in a dark room couldn't make you look good.

Starting a sentence with a conjunction like “and” or “but” relates that sentence to something outside the sentence – which implies that the sentence beginning with the conjunction cannot be complete.

This is seldom an issue in casual, colloquial usage. The flow of dialogue, story, or narrative adequately relates the components for the reader or listener.

Outside of casual usage, though, where the content relates technical matter or material that will be used for reference by others, that interrelationship between sentences can introduce a modicum of confusion. When effort is put into the correctness of the text, then resolving that bit of ambiguity for the reader is a mark of courtesy, respect – and responsibility.

The question is not “Can And or But Begin a Sentence?”– because it can. The question is “May And or But Begin a Sentence?” And the answer is:“Sometimes.”

Thus ends your English grammar lesson for today.

Your other comments are not worth a response Always wrong and always rude is no way to go through life.

I've only been here a few years but I absolutely love it. My neighborhood is safe and the neighbors watch out for each other. The kids can wander and I am not constantly worried. We can walk to the beach, park, pool, stores and library. It's quiet and quaint, and I wouldn't want to be anywhere else.

Proof. See the States Attorney immediately. No proof. Hire your own attorney to try to protect what little you have left.

Here is a hint: You are in deep yogurt. Get a good one because subpoenas are coming your way soon. You will have a chance to prove your allegations in court just before you lose the lawsuit. Woe is you. Facts are great things, of which you have none. And do note, your right of free speech is not extended to slander and libel.

Bring it on jerk. I have never said any such thing about your pals. Whatever others have done is their problem. Sue away. But be advised, the game you are playing changes nothing. When you attack people by name with false allegations, you open yourself up to plenty of financial pain. Everyone else does at their peril as well.

And by the way, it's past time for you to remember what your mother told you: two wrongs don't make a right. I am sure the judge will help you understand that.

Not me. Never said a word. Somebody else's problem, and YOUR problem. and YOUR problem is not going away. Plan on that FACT. You have left quite a trail over the last three years and there are those that have finally had enough.

It sounds as tho you'd like to live in Gurnee. Or perhaps McHenry. Please move to there. I do NOT want an avalanche of big box retailers. I like living in a small town. Light industrial development on the outskirts would be nice for the tax base, but I think we have all the retail space we could possibly need.
I agree! Support the local merchants or move.

New Walgreens?Already had one. With the new one we LOST a restaurant ,hot dog stand,a nail place and a motel. Four business for one new building not to mention the empty store where the old Walgreens was.Now that's progress.
The reason Walgreens is building on the corner is because they made an offer to purchase the land. The owners of the land accepted, bdeciding to sell to them. Welcome to America, we've been around for a few years now.

How does this translate to blame being placed upon the village board? Let's be fair.

To make your supposition, one has to toss reality to the curb along with a fair amount of common sense.

Walgreens had/has no obligation to stay where they were/are simply because someone had the short sighted vision to build a side facing strip all when this should have faced 83. The corporate policy to build stand-alone stores, increasing their bottom line is just that; a way to build business and increase destination sales. They do not factor in loyalty to poorly planned commercial development.

Want the train track motel or seldom visited nail place, offer a higher bid.

I suppose you'll blame this on the board as well?
