Hey guys,
We got a letter from Neumann on Wed (12/26) stating the bankrupcy court has authorizd them to release our earnest money within 5 business days. There was a document to sign and thats it. Work was never started on our Gilberts home so we lucked out there. Glad this is finally over for us. Good luck to the rest of you!!! I hope everyone has a better new year than last.
Hi Mike, we are in the same situation as you. I signed that paperwork and sent it in the next morning and haven't gotten a check yet. I was just wondering if you or anyone has received a check yet.
Thanks!

Does anyone know any more specific information about the Warehouse sale? Anyone ever been to one for model furnishings? Is it truly 19 homes worth of furniture, or is it "left over" furniture from previous sales that did not sell? Does anyone know how many model homes are in the Joliet sales? Are either of the addresses townhomes? Do you think the sales will be similar to Clublands/Neuhaven in Antioch?

There are 4 models here at Neustoneshire, they are all single family homes. I'm not sure how many models are in Neufairfield.

The association fees are $30/month for Neuhaven & the SSA was a total of around $68,000 for the 30 years, if I remember correctly.

JUST WANTED TO LET EVERYONE KNOW I JUST RECIEVED THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION IN REFERENCE TO FURNITURE SALES THIS WEEKEND.
8am -12pm
NEUSTONESHIRE
7205 Yorkshire St

NEUFAIRFIELD
2518 Saddle Ridge Ct
Joliet,IL
WHAREHOUSE SALE FOR 19 HOUSES,
7am - 1pm
900A Knwll rd
Montgomery, IL
Not to discourage anyone from going to the sale, but keep in mind that they give employees first dibs on everything for sale in these houses first. They have "friends & family" either the night before, or earlier before they open to the public. I live in the Neuhaven sub (Antioch) and was just trying to refurnish our house with something to replace what Neumann's workers ruined. It is too far for me to drive this weekend, but I wish anyone who goes luck in finding something that they want.

That makes sense. I live in Neustoneshire and when I was driving past the models this evening, there were like 40 cars in front of the models and tons of people inside them. I was wondering if someone got first dibs on the sale. That stinks, I was excited to go tomorrow but now I wonder if anything will be left considering how many people were there tonight.

Pool tables, and all the great stuff WAS gone last night.(I was there)... however, this morning people started lining up at 630AM for the 8am opening.

It's 1130 and by 11 the houses were basically empty. Very good bargaining opp. though.
Does anyone know if the warehouse sale is going to be next weekend? i.e. what are they doing with the stuff that doesnt' sell this weekend?

I just attended the warehouse sale in Montgomery, while there I was told about sales at the model homes in Plainfield and Joliet. When I went to the Plainfield homes,I was told this weekend, will most likely be Oswego, Naperville and possibly Mongtomery again. They gave me a web address to go to for further information, but it doesnt exsist. If you have any more information on the updomming sales, please contact me personally, [email protected] thankx

Paul, I have heard that this weekend is possibly Oswego, Naperville and Montgomery again, but the web address they gave me doesnt work. I saw the ad in the paper about Montgomery, but only heard of the Plainfield homes from someone in Montgomery. It was the neumann emaployees at the model homes in Plainfield that told me about this weekend. Where did you hear from??

Stranded buyer,

That is great news. Our house has been sitting, looking like it's done, but nothing done in the inside yet. I have heard once they start on the house, figure 8-10 weeks to complete. We are supposed to hear from the builder within the next week or two, and then they figure 8-10 weeks to complete. I would like to know asap as we have to put our house back on the market.

Yeah, that figures! I went to the warehouse sale and got a couple bargains, but not much, then headed over to the homes in NeuStoneshire. MUCH to my displeasure, I discovered that the people running the sale in each home had friends there buying stuff right out from under other honest buyers. What little that was left from the 11pm sale the night before. THEN, I saw one of the items that the lady needed sooo badly (total BS!!) for sale on craigslist tonight.. she got it for half-price and was selling it for more than what it was selling for there.( http://chicago.craigslist.org/wcl/hsh/5376184... ) I needed this for my kitchen and she gave me the SOB story that she needed it too. But, friends take care of friends and SCREW everyone else.
Yes, I am venting, but the sales are being run very unfairly and it is not worth your time unless you have connections 'cause you are not gonna get any deals!

They should have allowed all owners of Neumann homes 1st dibs. Then the general public.
