I remember way back when the mines were private land, you could enter the mines without all the bars and restrictions. Some of the mines had asbestos stalactites hanging down from the mine ceilings. It sucks that there is about 4 - 5 audits that have been purposely caved in due to them being very dangerous (gases or collapses). Empire Mine Road is a great starting point for someone mine hunting. There are many shafts and air vents in that region, it sucks people are stupid and due to them being stupid many areas are now hidden..
