I hate being told I'm pretty or beautiful. I absolutely hate it. What can I do to learn how to take a complement?

Sounds like you just want to be noticed for something other than your appearance.

Its called low self worth. We have to realize we are beautiful and learn how to take a complement. Ask yourself why you don't feel beautiful and more than likely it's something from the past that we need to work on. The insides have to match the outside. I don't know you yet you are beautiful. God made you that way!:-)

I am the same way. My s/o hates that about me. Tells me I'm beautiful all the time and my instinctive reaction is to come back with a sarcastic comment about one of my flaws that I think makes me not so beautiful. I kinda worry that if I accept a compliment without putting myself down, I will look conceited and I hate stuck up pretty girls.

I feel the same way at times, someone gave me a compliment in front of a group of people the other night. Embrassed the h*|| out of me. Even though she meant what she said I didn't feel the same way about myself. That is something I'm working on. Realizing I am a good person and loving myself

If someone tells you that younger beautiful or pretty. Instead of putting yourself down just think of how that person sees you. He might actually mean what he says. And in that persons eyes your are beautiful

You have to love yourself before other people can love you im sure if you thought about what you do have it wouldn't be hard to see your beauty inner or outer
