Hello, Maxx marine has taken over Lucenti Marine,I made a visit to maxx marine they have really cleaned the place up, thats about it though,While looking around I noticed that what appeared to be management was not very informative on product or general knowledge of products. Then I got to talk with a sales person, just as bad as the management, I left with a business card from the sales person when I got home and looked at the name I remembered seeing an article in the paper about recovering addicts and there was the sales persons name.(it is good to know your addiction and do something about it ) Just lost a customer on that one. In my opinion I would not recommend patronage to this establishment after all a boat is more or less a luxury and I prefer to talk to and purchase from an establishment that has the knowledge and professionalism about their products and boating.
Again Just my Opinion. Tight lines and happy fishing,

I was puzzled by Smokin reels post as I had quite the opposite experience at Maxx Marine.I found the staff to be very knowledgeable and helpful. They had my bilge pump and switch in stock and installed it with no problems. I understand the new owners are trying very hard to straighten out the mess that was there before them. Not sure about any recovering addicts, but as long as they are clean, what's the problem there??One very tall young man was very helpful and polite and carried a prop I purchased to my car.

I saw Mark ,the former sales guy in court on his 5 felonies.Does anyone know if I can sue Lucenti as they blew up my new 5,000 powerhead after Larry said it was fine with a water test run.

It baffles me to see the negative comments given by smokinreels. I do bussiness with Posner Marine in pensecola, FL. About a month ago i was in a major pinch and needed a 30 hp honda outboard in a bad way. I located Maxx Marine on the web and began talkin back and forth with the lady in consignment sales. She, by the way was most helpful and did everything in her power to get me that motor the next day by noon. It was a pleasure doing bussiness with the qualified personnal at Maxx Marine, and i would reccomend this top notch boat yard to anyone who is lookin for a pleasant experince.

Maxx Marine, It seems that the new owner does not give a hoot about customer satisfaction.

That is because the former owners sister was still working there and got the job done. Not the current management.

one day lucenti marine, the next day max marine. Huh, and before that I totally got ripped off and charged for items broken and never fixed. Nice water test guys. I dont' know what max is all about but there are plenty of other choices so in my opinion I am exercising that choice and will not go there..

My my, what a world! I've been doing business with Dino for years. I know him as a man of integrity. He may travel to the beat of a different driummer, but he will get done what needs to be done. It may take more then a few months to clean up a mess that was years in the making. And congradulations to him for extending a helping hand to someone who is changing their path.

Went to Maxx marine one day to price out a 50hp Mercury for my Whaler, front desk person had no idea what was going on. She fiddeled with a few brouchers and I just left with a business card. Went to Diamond Suzuki the same day and left with a 50 hp 4 stroke Suzuki. Lost my business on that part, but I still go there to purchase parts as I do rebuild outboard motors for a hobby.
