Teen Shot in Head in Crescent City

There is developing news out of Palatka. A spokesperson for the Putnam County Sheriff's Office says a teenaged boy has been shot in the head.

The Hispanic population of CC is no higher than 20-22%. White people are still the majority. You want to try to say Mexicans are rampant in CC: What about the rampant cases of HIV/AIDS in Palatka?
As far as this kid goes, I'm hoping he is going to be alright. I'm still trying to find out if I know him from school.

there is no way in hell a gun can go off by axident, and shoot someone unless the gun is loaded the safty off and ( YOUR FINGER) is on the dam trigger and is pointed at someone. lets say for argument sake she was just pointing at a wall, and the kid was in the next room. I am not shocked that there are people who think this way, afterall there are many idiots in this world. I am a mother and I personally know this childs aunt. When I heard that a child was shot in the head in Crescent City (no location was given at first), I was literally floored because both of my children are in Crescent City (at school, the same schools attended by all of the Williams children). This is truly a parents worst nightmare. I hope that all of you parents and all around decent people are praying for Bryce, my family will be.

Yes I am from Palatka not from Bardin and I am not an ignorant hick, thank you. Just like you making an assumption that I was from Bardin I made an assumption that the child was mexican. The reason I made this assuption is because I went to a graduation in CC and it seemed as though there was a majority of mexicans. Now that the story is updated I know they are not mexican. Although the child isn't mexican he is a problem child if the reason he was home was because he was suspended from school.

Even if he was suspended from school - does he deserve to be shot? No.
Yes - it does sound suspicious. Maybe drinking was involved since the catfish festival does involve some partying of course. This is a very sad thing people. He is only 13 yrs old. No what kind of person he may be now & what kind of family he has - he may just grow up to be a good person.
As for being Mexican - their last names are not hispanic. There are a lot of Mexican people in Crescent City & all along the 17 corridor.
Most of them are very nice people. Yes, some of them are here illegally. But if you lived in their country, you may just be tempted to go somewhere where you would have better opportunities - like here.
And let's not forget that if some lazy Americans would get off their tails & WORK instead of trying to live off the government.... we wouldn't need all of these Mexicans here to do what some lazy people think is beneath them.
