Just a thought....how did Smedley get the right to have that kind of opinion? Devine intervention? Doubt it. Maybe it was all of the "war criminals" back in the American Revolution. Maybe its just sad that Smedley doesnt have anything to be thankful for(freedom of speech, freedom of choice, the ability to vote). I guess he thinks that he has all of these rights because he is breathing. Name one other country that you have the same exact rights that we have here. My son is in the Army. It makes me proud to know that he is willing to die to defend your right to be able to think and say whatever you feel.(Whether its educated or not)

What would your mother say if she heard the disrespect and name calling? She very well could have been in the position that these families are in when you were "overseas". Shame on you!! These families as well as the families of every soldier or sailor that has ever been "out of country" during a war, conflict ,or action. They , as well as their loved ones, are very brave and deserve the utmost respct and courtesy during their difficult time. If you were a true veteran ..you would love your brothes in arms ....and their families. Or did you forget the oath you took? Did you forget everything you learned in your training? That was way before Bush so you cant blame him. Why dont you go talk to one of the children who lost a parent on 9/11. Why dont you do something positive with yourself?
You asked me what I did? I baked cookies, gathered Easter and Christmas dinners (In a box),wrote thousands of letters, sent cards , made sure everyone that I knew that was over seas knew that they are loved and appreciated...I even adopted a group of guys from all over the eastern seaboard and made sure they got letters and candy. I had the guys send me their Christmas lists and went shopping and wrapped and mailed Christmas and birthdy gifts (they did reemburse me)So that thier loved ones would get Santa gifts or their birthday gifts on time. So no I was not over seas but I did defend my country by supporting my troops.All politics set aside. They are tha best men and women in the world and I am very proud of each and every one of them!!! Shame on you for not being!!I feel sorry for you! You are turning your back on something so wonderful!!
