why is fayette county taxes and permits so much higher than all the neighboring counties?????seems like they get along just fine....maybe itsbecause

did you know to put a tin building on your own property you have to the city of fayetteville fees.

you don't have to pay taxes on the building if it is non-permanet. In other words...no foundation no taxes. Thats how I got by with my garage.

Thanks for the info.on non permanant..............while on another subject,my neighbor had to pay $140.00 to put a small front porch on his house,city of fayetteville fees, inspector fees and return inspector fees.I had to pay $85.00 in fees to upgrade my electical service.plus almost had to pay $75.00 because my state of west virginia electriction did not have a permit allowing him to do the job in fayetteville.hate to sound like a broken record.small $10.00 dollar fee mabe tolerable, but does anybody else think things getting out of hand.

why is there a fee at all???we gotta pay extra for these people to do the job we are payin them to do to start with!!!go to them at election time and see the difference

This is what happens when you continue to re elect the same a55holes over and over. If you want it to change, stop electing the same commisioners (Wender, Lopez, Eskew). The same circuit judge (Hat). Stop doing it. These people control the tax base, appropriations, purchasing, and who goes to jail and who doesnt. THere is no checks and balances system for these people. They have no guidlines they must follow. Wender has bankrupted multiple businesses prior to being elected commisioner. Stop your bitchin and get rid of them.

When you hired the guy to do your electrical work you may have gotten out of the fee by being your own contractor. More than likely he may have been willing to do it under the table too and saved you the tax.

back to the question,i really dont know why these taxes are way out of line,,,we have river rafting taxes,big fine walmart taxes,,homes on the gorge taxes tourism taxes,,,,,,still all the lil people get gouged too.maybe its that board of education we have that is fascinated with buildin a new school every time they meet that nobody wants
