Mom charged with helping daughter bake Ex-Lax cookies for teacher

Julie Hunt appeared in Skowhegan District Court on Monday and pleaded innocent to a charge of misdemeanor assault.

Way to go moms. Send those kids to chemistry class too. Might as well teach them to make meth while your at it. The problem here is not that moms taught the kids how to crush a pill and mix it into dough, it is the fact that moms failed to use proper judgement in the instruction of how to deliver the cookies to the intended target without jepordizing others (like the kids who had access to the cookies whil they were on the teachers desk). This may not have been a good moral decision, but it is definately notr worth prosicution...I guess the state has to make their money somehow. Funny prank. I guess pranks are illegal in America...how funny that is.

This Mother must have no brains at all! Some joke, I guess she never realized that there are certain types of allergies that could result in a severe outcome to certain recipients. Or to a child that is on medication for Epilepsy,etc. that could affect their meds.
This was stupidity! Suppose the teacher suffered from colitis or Crohn's disease? Or one of the students? Tricks is right! There is nothing funny about it! I'm glad the Mother got charged!
Children learn what they live! What did she teach her children?

i think there was more to this story that you are all missing. before this "prank" occurred, the girls in question were reprimanded by this teacher, and the "prank" was payback. idiot mom. she's as bad as those enraged sports parents. i think it's a funny joke, but a parent shouldn't encourage such behavior.

I agree with most in the fact that the mother should not encouraged (let alone explain to) thses girls how to make cookies with ex-lax in them..but since ex-lax is a legal product that most people use anyway Myabe the motehr thought it would be fine...but still..there are always adverse reactions to medications and such..what if something worse would have happened than bad cramps and diahrrea? Did this mother (and even these girls) stop to consider the consequences? No of course not because this is america and no one thinks of consequesnces anymore becasue of our obnoxious arrogance...
