Why would anyone choose to live near an airport, or under an airport's takeoff and approach paths?
Do they do so in order to spend less as compared to the cost of a house in a non-noisy area? Or do these home buyers simply not have a clue that airports, which were there first, tend to attract airplanes?
It's amazing that people plant themselves in the path of progress, and then when progress, i.e. growth brings more noise, they feel wronged.

I really wouldn't mind if they ensure the jets are quiet. Some of those beasts make so much racket they shouldn't be allowed to fly.

"In Blaine, the company will help local businesses find and maintain a jet as well as charter one." Mr. Wilf is not building his new stadium here, and the local businesses are pretty middle of the road: pizza joints, pawn shops, tool and die shops, etc. The north metro does not have a Galleria.
How much development has the Flying Cloud Airport brought to Eden Prairie? Maybe a few more stools filled at the Lions Tap.
How many National Sports Center event attendees will come in by private jet?

There are no yuppies in Blaine. That is a myth. Just a bunch of empty houses due to foreclosures of people that thought they had money. The thing that alot of people don't know about this airport development is the event center featuring a bar that will be part of it. Not only will the planes be loud, but flown by a bunch of drunks, hehehe.(if you think I am wrong, everyone in the area, which includes Moundsview, Shoreview, etc. was offered a deal to invest in it). Those curvy roads and the skies up there ought to get real interesting soon. We were already offered lots of road improvements, wonder why?? I would say when you are in the area "duck", or swerve, whichever. Peace Mary

It's too bad that you didn't get beyond the 2nd grade. Was there a point to your comment? Also, next time you might want to try using a dictionary so when you're stringing together a bunch of consonants and vowels that it won't be so obvious from your inability to spell that you are a COMPLETE IDIOT! I think Key Air will be a great economic asset to the area. They run a tight ship, but don't overlook their history of corruption. Key Air and its corporate sister, Keystone Aviation Services, were implicated in bribing the governor of Connecticut, John G. Rowland, who was sentenced to a year in federal prison as a result. Rowland, in a plea agreement with federal prosecutors, admitted in December, 2004 to having taken $91,000 in free air travel from Key Air, mostly to Las Vegas, in exchange for pushing a $1,000,000 tax break designed to benefit Key Air and Keystone. They may be good for business, but keep a close eye on your politicians. And their free trips.
