As we all know, friends, the recent drought has been destructive for our local farmers. I, along with our prayer team at church, have prayed for rain. Thanks to our faith and prayer, the heavens opened with rain! Friends, never doubt the King, he is here and is answering prayers. Thank you Jesus for this manna from heaven. We give you thanks and our hearts. God Bless London!

So does that mean that if I pray to Jesus, I'll get my foreskin back?

It's funny that you bring up Job, the good guy that God decided to torture for a bet.

Blessings even to the Philistines among us. I am often asked, why witness to the non believers? Yes, I am ridiculed and mocked. As were early Christians. Even the Christ was scorned and forced to wear a crown of thorns. However, it is our duty to witness for him, even in the face of ridicule. I will not directly answer to Anti's insults. However I will pray for him, and encourage him to surrender his heart to the King.
I encourage all believers to witness to the fallen who are part of the Topix community. Let us recall Matthew 9:37, "the harvest is plentiful, but the workmen are few."

"I am often asked, why witness to the non believers? Yes, I am ridiculed and mocked. As were early Christians. Even the Christ was scorned and forced to wear a crown of thorns." You have a bit of a persecution complex, huh? Most people are mocked and ridiculed at various times in their lives. Christians aren't special.

"However I will pray for him, and encourage him to surrender his heart to the King." I'll think for you and, no thanks, I'm not interested in joining your servile cult.

-The Bible "The mustard seed is the smallest of all seeds."
-Science "No it isn't."
-The Bible "Damn, foiled again!"
-Science "Will you ever learn?"
-The Bible "Nope never, I rely on contrived thinking and logical fallacies to protect my fragile fantasy-based assertions. In fact, I am back to believing that the mustard seed is the smallest of all seeds."
-Science "But it isn't."
-The Bible "Also, the earth is flat."
-Science (*facepalm)

Demonstrating spiritual blindness as expected, the many skeptics of Scriptures continue to cite this and equally dubious "mistakes of Scriptures."

For the record, the Bible is accurate on every subject to which it speaks. When statements are made concerning history, science, faith or God, they are factual and correct.

Using figures of speech or illustrative word imagery in some passages, does not discredit the statements intended to be taken as direct or supporting statements of truth. Context and intent is still key.

Timing context and intent.

(I could talk till I'm "blue in the face," or until the "cows come home," or just keep on being "a pain," but "my money's on them" not finding someone who hasn't "dropped" a few phrases or "salted" their speech with a "pinch" of non-literal expressions. Go figure!)

Extra-biblical sources, close to the period, confirm that "small as a mustard seed" was a common saying of the era, meaning the statement was intended to be understood by the immediate hearers, in context, not to be used as a world-wide all encompassing and absolute statement

All these things spoke Jesus to the multitude in parables; and without a parable spoke he not to them.

Parable: A metaphor or simile, usually as a short allegorical narrative, utilizing popular sayings or commonly known circumstances to illustrate a spiritual truth through the use of comparison.

Many verses confirming a sphere shaped earth, "that's old as dirt, my man."

But it seems like lots of times the things we thought were true today are being proven wrong tomorrow.

I remember growing up and there were 9 planets, then I was told there were more planets, then all the sudden i was told that one of those planets might not be a planet at all. lol

We all have the exact same evidence, different worldviews and presuppositions determine how we interpret that evidence.

A spiritual person has nothing to fear by science . Science is absolutely amazing and as far as I can tell , all our modern medicines have come from things shamans already knew ..(herbs, harmony with nature ) the mind body connection is more and more being upheld by science. Science, rediscovers ever day.

Nukes, fluoride,GMO foods, just to name a few. Dude science is awesome.

"I remember growing up and there were 9 planets, then I was told there were more planets, then all the sudden i was told that one of those planets might not be a planet at all." Without science, you still wouldn't be aware of the classic nine planets, because some of them are invisible to the naked eye. When astronomers said that there were nine planets, that didn't mean that more would not be discovered. The meaning of "planet" has changed because we have discovered thousands of objects floating around the Kuiper Belt, Pluto being the largest. There are many other objects in the Kuiper Belt nearly as large as Pluto. Are they planets too? We have also discovered thousands of extra-solar planets. We must now reassess what it means to be a planet. That is the beauty of science.

"We all have the exact same evidence, different worldviews and presuppositions determine how we interpret that evidence." No, not everyone has the same evidence and that's not how the scientific method works.

"A spiritual person has nothing to fear by science . Science is absolutely amazing and as far as I can tell , all our modern medicines have come from things shamans already knew" If that's true, explain how the small pox virus ravaged humanity for at least 10,000 years before scientists finally eradicated it in the 20th century.

The cosmos and everything in it did not form in six days.

That has nothing to do with the fact that the cosmos and everything in it did not form in six days. The Bible is silly Bronze Age mythology.
