The EMA of calhoun co. is now in the process of scrambling the radio system. The 800 mhz digital system was put in operation for all of calhoun co. agencies to communicate with each other,that has not happen to this date! Why has the Supervisor of the EMA turned his back on the people of Calhoun co.? when they scramble the radio system, no one can monitor what is going on at AAD. That was not the agreement with the CSEPP officals and the CSEPP program.What are they hiding from the people !!!!

We just received the new radios and I have no problem with communicating with the responders in the county. I have never been able to monitor AAD, I have no need to, but I can talk to the people at AAD that I need to. As far as the scrambling of the radio system, I'm not aware of any. I do know that I have been able to use the system during many incidents and have had no problems. And, no we are not a county agency but an independant, all-volunteer, non-funded response team.

Fran, If your not aware of the radio system being scrambled, you are out of the loop. Ask Dan Long why its being scrambled. Because David Thompson had his own Talk group in his radio and his buddies radios. It was talk group David Dig. This was done with money supplied from Fema! The scanners that people have to monitor the 800 digital radio system will not work when the system is scrambled. I dont guess your aware of AAD not reporting an incident for 15 minutes after it has happened! A lot of people could die in just a couple of mimutes.I have seen first hand what the chemicals at AAD can do to a human being. Dan long is putting everyone in Calhoun County at risk if he lets this system be scrambled. Several people have been monitoring the radio system for years at AAD. We take shifts monitoring the communications at AAD. There has been several fines put against AAD for not reporting incidents when they happened. We are suppose to work together in our County to make it safer for all,but this is not happening! I have lived in Calhoun County all my life. All of my family have been born and raised here. I have gave 16 years of my life defending my country in the military. I have a right to know what is going on in my community, This is a right I have earned! Thank you, Disabled Vet.

Mr.Long I was given a document from a person that works for you.In this document it shows what we talked about on the phone.You told me that talkgroup DAVIDDIG,Talkgroup#36368 was not on the radio system.On this list it clearly shows it.Also I was given a recording from this person that has several hours of communications from this talkgroup.Now the citizens of Calhoun County know why you are encrypting the radio system.You have the people of Calhoun County mad and upset about the radio system being encrypted.You told me that it was a new system and that it was not being encrypted.MCCORDS told me the truth.You just dont know the anger that is felt against the EMA now. Do you know how many elderly citizens that went without meds and food to pay for their scanners. You need to stop the encryption of the system.

Hey everyone knows Dan Long a dumbass lair. The system sucks. The agency sucks and when all hail breaks. It will show. Dan will make Brownie look like a smart guy. Dan is just a dumbass. I know many people who have worked with him say this. He does not know his hand from his A$$. Its a scary thing knowing he in charge.
