I guess Rodney Little and Gayle Yerges don't read news stories and but they should because their grant money comes from the state. The house in question is in a National Historic Distric and is the oldest house on Deal Island. Well what will you do with the Brandshaw House...or otherwise called the Severn Mister House...State tuned to this soap opera

The Severn Mister House i.e. The Bradshaw House on Deal Island is in a National Register Historic Distric. Funding could be available from the Department of Interior. But Somerset County is focused on Princess Anne and Crisfield. Tell your delegate and senator you want this house restored because THE MARYLAND DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL RESOURCES OWNS IT.

Severn Mister is my ggg grandfather. My husband and I visited the house today. It is still boarded up and in very bad shape. We were very disappointed to see nothing is being done to save the home. It holds lots of history.

I am a direct descendent of Severn Mister, I visited the property in 2014. So sad to say it is in major disrepair! That land holds my heritage and I have contacted local senators and nothing will be done. This is sad! Why not turn the land back over to the heirs of the property and let us restore it. My family is buried there! Its a shame to see it just sitting there. You can see that it was once a gorgeous property, and still is!
