You MAY "sure hope not" but you'd be wrong ! There has been a HUGE rise in oral canser and they say it IS caused almost entirely by oral sex.

But you CAN prevent it by being vaccinated against HPV.

ALL teens and anyone else who is sexually active SHOULD be vaccinated aginst HPV.

As far as I know, it is the ONLY STD with an effective vaccination.

So why not ?

It's becomming more and more prevalent among teenage boys. Every person indulging in any sexual activity should have a full GUM screening every month.
It should be mandatory.

I just read yesterday, that contrary to what I thought I had read previously, the HPV vaccine does NOT vaccinate against ALL strains of HPV. Therefore, you CAN be vaccinated against HPV and still contract HPV. HPV CAN cause cancer.

AND I read just the other day that nearly 10% of all people between the ages of 14 and 69 years of age are now infected with HPV, which IS incurable.

I'd say random unprotected sex is now simply too dangerous to engage in, at least for me.
