and we knew that he would never be able to live alone again. So we discussed the options and decided that selling his house, renting out mine, and buying a bigger house to accomadate my kids would be the best option. Problem being, we wanted it to be a cash deal, we just didnt have enough on hand. My uncle stepped in to lend whatever we were short so we started looking. We found a house, I signed the contract and we had the inspections done. Now, theyre calling for proof of funds so I contact our lawyer to find out how we need to go about this and he tells me DO NOT MOVE FORWARD on this deal. Come to find out, my dad and uncle didnt properly close out my grandfathers estate (this is where the money came from to buy house), so taxes are due by all 3 parties and my name shouldnt be tied in to anything of my dads. NOW WHAT! Obviously I want out of the contract but can I legally do that since the seller knows this was supposed to be a cash deal? Please help. Thanks
