2 Men Shot In Prince George's Co. Robbery - News Story - WRC | ...

As a former convenince store worker in 1966 and in 1978, I was trained how to act during a robbery, not in '66 but '78. First and foremost do not resist. Make no sudden moves and let the robber know what you are doing. Example,"I am getting a bag to put the money in." Of course, you can get a description and takes notes in your head, what kind of gun, shoes, any scars and such which might help the police. Although I would not make a point of looking too hard, it is possible to take notes without being noticed by the robber. Certainly do not panic. The robber may be a druggie or scared and you do not want to upset him. These men in PG did the wrong thing. The one time I was subjected to a street robbery by two gentlemen, white young guys, in Alexandria back in '70 I did not do the right thing. They came charging up the street as I got out of my car. I knew something was up and I did not do the right thing which would have been to run. I mentally went through my options. Try to strongarm me and I can whack the first one with a good shot and wrestle down the other and keep the fight in the middle of the street which would make cars have to stop and somebody at least call the police. A knife? I mulled that over and knew If I got in a fight with two guys, one of them could stick me while I would be fighting the other. I was trying to decide what to do when they were upon me. The gun in one guy's hand made me decide to give up the money. Let me say it is too bad that my car had been stolden some months before and the rifle I kept in the trunk had been stolden also. If not, then I suspect two robbers on an Alexandria street would have robbed no more. I regret I was unable to take the gentlemen down and end their money troubles. Still do not be foolish and only resist when you have the means to do so and certainly wait until the odds are on your side and do not worry about being nice. Shoot them in the back or if you can from ambush and do not endanger any other people. After all, a victim is supposed to be the good guy.

hey klan killer, he's probably just reacting to what he reads, not once a month, but EVERY DAY in the news. I would have to agree, and my advice is, if you are white, DO NOT GO into an area that is inhabited by a large proportion of black people. It is a shame that it's like this but it is. I love to shoot and visit a gun range about once a week. I hope I never have to unload my weapon on any person but I would NOT hesitate if that person tried to break into my home and/or threaten one of my immediate family members.

Well both you and him need to stop viewing the world by what the news tells you. If your going to stay in the house in fear at least turn the tv off! Read a nice peaceful book about the good ole days of the Confederacy. Let that ease your sleep at night.

You're right. I try to avoid large communities of white people as much as possible.
