Obama says single-payer not the best option

Full story: Connecticut Post

President Barack Obama is once again rejecting the idea of a "single-payer" health care system, as opposed to the one he envisions that would preserve private insurers but would add a government-run option.

We need single payor. Private health insurance is a rip off that has left millions of Americans without adequate health care. As long as private health insurance continues to exist this will continue

We don't want and can't afford govt health care. The biggest rip-off is an unbridled beauracracy beholding to no one except the special interests and big medical companies. Medicare and Medicaid have grown without control and driven good private insurance out of business. Canadians drive across the border to get decent and timely medical care. We won't have that ability. Stop Obama Care, now.

That is total baloney and you know it. This is spam from the insurance industry. This is copied word for word from the commercials on tv. The man narrating them resigned from a major health insurance company under allegations of fraud and is now once again trying to deny Americans decent health care coverage. The biggest bureaucratic idiocy I have ever dealt with is getting my health insurance coverage to pay for necessary treatment. Private healt insurance is nothing less than fraud. We need public health insurance NOW!

Under Universal Heath Care, "necessary" will continue to be what the government wants it to be. That won't be good for anybody. Choices will either be political or beaurcratic.
You really want your insurance company to honor the commitment for which you believe you subscribed. You want the freedom to choose the insurance company that wants your business. That will be the insurance company that provides the best service.
There are problems with the way insurance companies hold a monopoly and prevent free competition. Fixing that aspect would be much better than government health care.

Daily Horoscope for December 24

Aquarius

Keep calm and all will be well. You're feeling slightly fraught because there are so many demands on your time, and it won't help if you're trying to juggle some last-minute chores with some fun-filled social events. Get others to lend you a hand, or tell yourself that perfection is not an option right now and that you'll have to scale down your preparations accordingly.
