I have a heavy heart as we start out today knowing the levy did not pass. where does this take them now? does the state step in? do the school's close and kids get bused to other districts? if the later is the truth then parents will still have to pay out taxes for this. I feel terrible for the children of the district. May god be with you all.

I understand if the levy would have passed, for every 100.00 of valuation a property owner would pay an additional .99 in property tax. A home valued at 100,000.00 the home owners property tax would have increased an additional 999.00 per year! Is this correct? If so I have one question, Are you people out of your minds!? There would have been a lot of rents increasing throughout the school district. And a lot of other reprecussions.

The school is just like any other government bureacuracy. It's mission is to take as much money as it can take and to spend all it gets so they can ask for even more. It's not about the children it's about the bloated administration. Assistance to assistance, study hall aides, fifth grade class advisorsand on and on and on...

The NEA is the Union that represents the Sidney teachers. Visit their web site and see if you support the socialist, bogus, deceptive issues they advocate. And these are things they use our money to indoctrinate the children, the man made climate change hoax they are attempting to rape and ruin American Industry with, and how President Obama is pro American and wants the economy to improve when he is openly anti-capitalist and wants more and more people to need government, all that. We don't want our money taken and used against us! Get the NEA out of the Sidney Schools! Shouldn't we feel terrible for the children who are indoctrinated and misguided by the liberal leaning, NEA teachers? All the parents can do is pay attention to what the students are being "taught" at the government school so they can counter the propaganda at home.

If the levy did not pass this time (I have a feeling they will find 43 votes somewhere) do not throw your signs away! They'll be another vote in May. Don't throw your "save the schools" signs away if it passed either, they'll be begging for more money again, they never have enough. They do it for the children! Yeah, right!

The children should not be surrendered to the government to be "taught".

The web site Sidney School Levy facts is very helpful, I encourage all to visit.

According to them the increased to the property tax on a property valued at $100,000 would approx. 312.00 annually. Just wanted to correct my mistake. Their are many other alternatives to higher taxes!
