Volunteers belly up to an oyster bar

Tierra Verde, Florida If they were wearing stripes or orange, you'd think this group was some kind of chain gang, but this hardworking bunch of shovelers, baggers and haulers are all volunteers.

"And that last one is a biggie"... um, also because oysters are tasty. Not that you can eat 'em out of the Bay, but if it ever gets clean enough, who knows? Scallops are already making a significant comeback, which means the water is definitely cleaner than it used to be. Efforts like this are the reason.
