As the mother of a handicapped son and with one of the few handicapped accessible rentals, I would like to say that Mexico Beach is one of the handicapped-unfriendliest places I know. The new dunes block the view of the water from a wheelchair and sidewalks are desperately needed all along Hwy 98. A few years ago, wooden boardwalks were built at the end of some streets on the beach side, but not all which means if you live on some street, there is no accessibility.
