No cause yet in Plymouth fire

Mar 23, 2013 Full story: Observer & Eccentric

Sharon O'Leary stood maybe 60 yards from the burning Lake Pointe Village Apartments building she's lived in more than three years, watching the blinds fluttering in the breeze through a window shattered by firefighters battling the fire that destroyed several buildings in the complex Thursday morning.

Sixteen units are not inhabitable. All the lower units look untouched by fire. I don't understand the article saying it may have started in a lower unit. One or two upper units look primary. Two cats and a dog died. My friend recovered two cats with burned feet that have been treated. I saw one vacancy in another building today. Other complexes nearby have vacancies, but they are not as nice as Lake Pointe. It's like 16 sets of instant refugees. Nobody is ready to jump in and take them.

All apartments should require renter's insurance. The price is reasonable and it could even be included in the rent.

Seems the apartment renters were cooking up a little meth and a fire was the result. Good work.

I don't think there is any indication of that. That complex is fairly straight laced. If that were the case, such a fire source would easily be identifiable and we will hear about it. In fact, that information would have been out already. All fires must be investigated for insurance purposes.

The report that the apartment renters were cooking meth was on the local news the day after the fire.

Why not quote a link or source then?
Police don't like to walk away from such indications.
Insurance companies don't like to pay.

Meth chemicals leave an easy signature to trace. The property has been checked and turned over to the complex for repair.

Early reports of things are often in error. If you even did hear a rumor, it has since been quashed.
