child support payments

my bf has to pay child support to michigan even though the mother and child don't live in that state for several years. when review comes around she has control because since neither party lives in that state she has the say if its raised or lowered. that suppose to be the state law. has anyone been able to get any help in this area. they keep going by his old jobs pay, he has a different job now and pay is different. i get child support from the state we live in now, and the laws suck here. just wanting to know if anyone can help on this subject. thanks.

Yes the mother can raise or lower it, it is state law I live in KY and my sons biological father lives in MI he's only been paying for at least two years but it's up to the father to let them know that he has a different job whether it's lower or higher paying there's not much you can do!

he did report it, and tried to get the case brought to kentucky. cause if anything happens its in michigan. but the states just fight over who has control. it bad enough she jumped states, he paying 2 others states cause of her lying as well.. if a man doesn't pay he sent to jail, but if the mother doesn't let him the child the courts do nothing. its a f-up sitiuation.
