With all that is going on in california, and nationwide, there has been a lot of research on medical marijuana, it is prolonging lives and giving better quality for many with deseases, glaucoma, MS, ALS, ADD, ADHD, aids, cancer, depression, anxiety, aids, chronic pain, fibro etc, with less side effects of FDA approved prescriptions.
How would you feel about allowing medical marijuana in the state of WV as an alternative to oxecotton, morphine etc, especially for long term use for patients.

In addition to medical uses, marijuana could be used as an effective tool in rehabilitation centers. Maybe people could smoke pot instead of smoking crack. More groceries, less violence. If marijuana is still considered a gateway drug then couldn't you go out the same gate of addiction that you came in?

Marijuana should be decriminalized at the very least and ultimately legalized. Pot is not substitute for oxycontin, crack and/or heroin.
Just today, the Grafton paper had an article about law enforcement officers were destroying narcotics and listed marijuana as one of the narcotics along with heroin and cocaine *which isn't a narcotic either). The prevalence of ignorance about marijuana is astonishing - especially from law enforcement. Apparently they are either trying to scare people or make themselves sound "cool" like some 'big city' narcotics cops. Embarassing.

Wellllllllll, there's quite a bit of ignorance at that Grafton paper-- A CONTROLLED BURN OF CONTROLLED SUBSTANCES -- and the officials who 'CONTROL' the town. Will anyone ever take CONTROL of this situation? LOL.

absolutely legalize it. the biggest reason that their is so many drug addicts i mean chemical drug addicts is the law forces them. if a person gets a fine for anyreason non driving fine and for some reason can't pay it west virginia takes your drivers licence. well most likely that person is a parent with a job. so that day they become a criminal. they still drive so they can work or go to the store. so then they get pulled over with out a licence and end up on probation. most likely they smoke marijuana. so of they don't want to go to jail they have to quit smoking marijuana. people are going to get high on something from coffee sugar speed downers something. did you know that marijuana stays in your system for 30 days. meth coke pills only three. alcohol even less. so especially when they know when their drug tests are sleep for three days take their drug test and then stay up for almost 2 weeks. i am not even kidding. some people snort up to 10 pills aday. so where are they getting them. from people on welfare who get any meds they want. sometimes up to 4 narcotics for one person. one girl i know gets xanax hydrocodone diet pills and ambien. from the same doctor in pennsboro. he loves it when there is a medical card he gets even more money. a hydrocodone costs at least 5 dollars for the drug addict. a xanax is 2 dollars who knows about the rest. so if a person gets 90 pain pills for 5 dollars each that is 450 dollars that the welfare reciepient or even anyone that is income they don't claim. 90 xanax times 2 dollars is 180 dollars. add the 500 in food stamps that is pretty good for doing nothing. they say pain pills and other narcotics have went up by 2 thirds in 5 years. they say it's because of the baby boomers are older. bull shit it's because they sell them to anyone. people that snort pills will snort any pill. something has to be done about this. legalize marijuana so people mellow out stay home at night and sleep eat food and be normal. when you smoke marijuana you don't get in a car and drive down the wrong side of the road and hit someone head on. everyone has to start fighting back. if a person gets a fine and can't pay it then throw them in jail until the fine is paid. at least when you get back you still have a licence. and won't continue to be a criminal
