Home invader caught

It is not right to judge people you dont know. I personally know and love one of these suspects , Zack Edwards. He is one of the most sweet and caring guys I have ever known and he would not have done that. It was the drugs that made him do it. He is a great guy with bad influences in his life. People think it is so easy to judge some one when you know nothing about them . I apologize to the family of the victim but the victim was on drugs too and was just as responsible for it himself. I hope Zack can be helped because every night I pray that he can be released and I will be there waiting to see my missed brother, who I will hold dearly to my heart. I hope that you people reading this will be able to relate and understand that under his circumstances that he should be forgiven. I was the only one who was there to help him all the nights his dad would go out and get drunk and leave him alone at his house for hours. He has also had a very hard relationship with his mom, who basically abondaonded him as a kid and he has still yet to find a real person to care about besides me. Which I became homless and had to move away. I hope he knows I will be there the day he gets out and will never leave him again. Please look deep inside you to forgive him for this horrible act because its not him. I admit he needs help and he should get it. I will always love him........From Angela Reece, his sister

Well if your "sweet and caring" guy broke into MY house, you could be going to his "sweet and caring" funeral, drugs or not. I mean come on. Im not going to stop a home invader and say "Hey! Are you doped up? Oh you are? Well sit down and Ill call Narcotics Anonymous so you can get some help." Nope, Im calling Law Enforcement and drawing down on the law breakers till they arrive. I wouldnt know if they were there to do harm to my family or myself, so if they go to Jail (doped up or not) thats fine with me.

Let me guess. If someone broke into YOUR house, you would be all fine with it, as long as they were doped up. Yeah right. It would be "Throw the book at them!"

I didn't say he doesn't need to be arrested I said he should have a lesser sentence considering its his first offence and the circumstances. Home invader caught
Zachary Edwards, 17, arrested

After a violent home invasion Tuesday morning, Corsicana Police detained one juvenile and arrested one man on counts of aggravated robbery late Wednesday afternoon.
Zachary Edwards, 17, is currently being held at the Navarro County Justice Center in lieu of a $250,000 bond.
According to Corsicana Police Sgt. Darrell Waller, he victim was asleep on his couch when two unknown suspects knocked at his front door.
“The two subjects forced their way into the apartment and then proceeded to tie him up with duct tape and began stabbing him and cutting him with a hammer while taking his personal property,” Waller said.

Edwards and the juvenile stole the victim’s vehicle and abandoned it in Angus where Sheriff’s Deputies and police recovered it on Thursday.
Navarro County Sgt. Hank Bailey and Sgt. Morris Steward along with police found the two suspects at an Angus residence and then were led to the stolen property, Waller said.
“(The juvenile) took officers to a location on FM 744 where we recovered the property,” Waller said.
In addition to the beating the victim took, bite marks were found on his body, Waller said.

Both of the suspects and the victim had prior knowledge of one another and Waller said the altercation was a result of a prior debt.
The juvenile was transported to a Texas Youth Commission facility.
Both suspects gave verbal statements that corroborated what the victim had already told police, Waller said.
In addition to the Navarro County Sheriff’s Department, the CISD Police and Navarro College Police assisted on the case, Waller said.
Most of the victim’s personal property taken in the heist was recovered.

All I can say about this is that our fine court has issued the punishment that was deserving to these horrible people. For someone to do something so heinous shows us that they are selfish and narcissistic with no respect for the value of human life. They show me that they believe their lives are worth more than anyone else's. As far as drug use goes it is simple: If these people are so weak as to pick up drugs initially and develop a habit- then they are naturally a weak person, destined to fail. Drugs are diseasing our nation and turning our citizens into mindless living corpses.
