people listen up i live in lancaster pa home of all amish and can almost guarentee you that over 50% of all car crashes in lancaster Pa involve amish biggies or an amish person on a scooter. they are so dense driving their scooters in pitch black at night w/ no lights. trust me none of you city slickers no anything about buggies. To add some more cheese to this wine i live in southern lanc. way down here in the sticks if it were up to me i'd have all the raod workers around here start buildinga dirt road off to the side of every highway.

I know a lot of Amish and they do get WIC and use the food bank. They also get medicaid when it is needed. They do pay some taxes but you are wrong about social security. Some DO COLLECT it. Each group of Amish has their own rules governed by thier bishop. When you see a buggy...just slow up a bit. We all live here so let us be a bit patient.
