Why doesnt the governments at all levels force the buggy drivers to put a canvas crap catcher like carriages in Chicago use? Farmers have fork over money to contian cow crap, yet horses can crap up and down the roads with no problem. I bet if my car leaked fluid up and down the roads they'ed have a prroblem with that.

Come on commisioners Its the right thing to do!

Who cares about a little horse crap when your car belches out hundreds of toxic chemicals? Lets fix that issue first, then we can worry about a horse poop.
I surely hope this thread is intended as a joke, nobody is that stupid except for maybe disgusting city folk who believe that Milk comes from a carton!Lol!

I'm really suprised at how many you have an issue with a simple device that catches crap.

Do you really like it on the road that much?

Bill - good observation. I agree they should be used in town

I do not live in Lagrange County but have to drive through several times a week. Yes I live in town but was raised in the country on a farm and poop doesnt bother me until it takes me 45min to get it off of the pain on my car. It is 2010 they should have the respect for the other people on the road to find a way to clean it up we are to respect them so why can't they have the respect for us?

Wow, I lived in Lagrange for a long time. I have moved away from that location and I can HAPPILY say that I am very thankful that I do not have to drive through horse manure anymore. I do not think there is anything wrong with asking for a horse manure catcher on every buggy. Honestly, I am baffled why some people would make derogatory remarks concerning this issue. Why would anyone want to clean that stuff off their car if they donít have to? I can think of many things that we have to do to appease the Amish community, asking for something as simple as a manure catcher seems pretty practicable.

Well i used to live on a street in lagrange that had a lot of buggy traffic on it due to its proximity to the grocery store. I can tell you i found the smell of horse poop very disgusting. On a hot summers day it was unbearable onespecially on a Friday when they all came to town. We did not have air, and i had to keep the windows closed the smell was so bad at times. There were times i went out and buried the poop in the terrace owned by the city and hosed the road. So it is a problem for some people.

To whom do you refer? The Amish or the politicians? The Amish can handle a little horse crap, and so can I. Problem I have is the BS we get from politicians. By the real world, do you refer to the current world of electronics and animated special effects at movies? Haven't been to a movie since Titanic, none worth the trip. The Amish live in a very real world, not so full of the artificial "life" you live.
