I know for a fact that this is a reformed man. he has spent the last 12 years with a wife and family. very active in doing the work of the Lord. sings in a christian rock group & very active in his church. prison can do nothing more than punish him for sometging he didn't do to begin with. he will admit that he was a drug abuser. you will be hearing more about this man in the future. book maybe even a movie. his story needs to be heard.INCREDIBLE...

i agree with you i know him too, i played in a christian band with him. I also went to new orleans with on a volunteer mission trip to help the people after hurricane katrina. I don't know what he did 20 years ago but I know he's a different man now.

you guys are funny, Jesus? the correct thing to say is God CAN forgive anyone he wants to NOT God will forgive because you simply don't know what god will do. But i can tell you this ANY man who RAPES a woman is not a good man and church aint gonna change that...you need to think about how the victims feel and stop defending the rapist!

you see brother we have already been forgiven.
Man there is so much to say on this subject. Do you belive in a "Trinity" because thats something youll never prove with the Bible. in fact if you can find the word "Trinity" anywhere in the Bible I'll give you ohhh lets say $1,000,000.00

Paul hey brother I'm not trying to discredit any doctrine that can change peoples lives in a positive way. u must have missread my post. and perhaps Barnabas' post as well. he was trying to say that Jesus was not God & therefore didn't have the power to forgive. Well I couldn't let that slide. so I had to give him scripture. I too was raised "trinity" and there is a lot of good in that doctrine however I have leaned a lot through prayer, fasting, and studying His word and really honestly wanting Him to reveal the truth to me. Wow it blew my mind to discover the truth was right there all along. He said in his word "If you have seen me you have seen the Father for I and the Father are one". how can anyone discredit that.I can't help it I love the Lord so much that I have to share his good news (Gospel) w/ every one...God Bless

Michael needs to get a license to preach, but a better teacher first. I guess the whole www is wrong about the cult he clings to in his ignorance. His mind is already blown as he so gushes..I would challenge him to face the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit and tell two of them that the Bible is all wrong, except the few scriptures his cult make their whole premise from. He will come back on here and say his platitudes, the condesending statements and totally not be man enough to do as asked. He will go on thinking that the vast majority of the Christian world is wrong, but somehow his little group has "seen the truth". I absolutely feel more sorry for him than I do the man this blog started about. At least by all accounts listed he has been serving Someone that not only has changed his live, but will provide a freedom Michael will never know. Brainwashing continues in America. Guess he does not believe in rapture , because gee, that word is not in Bible either. Sadly he is not going to change his "I and the Father are one" gushing because he is too far gone based on his rants. Oh yea, it takes intelligence to research for yourself, not just accept spoon fed mush from end time false prophets. Heaven must not be very big for the little group he thinks will make it " to the other side". Oh my, that sounds like LDS's , JW's, etc.- that's right, they are also cults to rest of Christian world! Hello all well can I say this has been a long 6 months for me. Not only was I shocked by all this but really confused.I really dont know what happened 20 years ago.But I do know that joe is not the man i knew in Indiana, He is a loving,caring,inteligent,man.A s all of us know we are all sinners, the only human to walk the earth sinless was Jesus Christ. Therefore who are we to Judge some one. Now Iam not going to Quote scripture, but I do know God forgives us for our sin,that does not mean the he forgives punishment. I do know that God is working in this story so overwelming that I can not begin to describe it! If Joe is to be relived of his punishment than I know God will release the chains. All this bickering on bible theory is not what God wants, he wants us to love each other and have a relationship with him.He wants us to reach out to our brothers and sisters who have no relationship with him. So that being said dont we all know that when Jesus was on the earth he did not seek out belivers, like a doctor does not help the healthy he helps the sick, Jesus in the same sought non belivers. Please lets all quit the bickering and LOVE each other. I was Bow Hunting with Joe in southern Indiana one day and he had not come back to the cabin, I went looking for him and found him crying on his knees in the woods, I asked him what was wrong and I got the usual "man" answer nothing man.Now I know what the reason for that was he was on the lam and not having a true relationship with God. Shortly thereafter he was returned to incarceration. I know whatever Gods plan is for Joe he will be fine with it, because he is totally right with God now. You know when people abuse drugs and alcohol they make stupid decisions, when these things happened 20 years ago he was young and an abuser not the man I know now. Im not saying this is an excuse but I am saying people grow older learn lessons and change. God in our lives can move mountains and free us of our addictions as long as we stay faithful in our relationship with him. Wow...I just came across this forum on here and my do people have some crazy stuff to say... A VERY long six months it has been for me as well Steve :) I just want everyone to know who is reading this that the man I know and the man who has been in my life the past 4-5 years is not the man I have heard about from 20 years ago. I believe people can change, and he is a true example of that. Joey is close family of mine, and words cannot express how much he is missed here.
