Why is Calles running for City Council? If she is opposed to cuts to fire services, shouldn't she run for the Chino Valley Independent Fire District Board. Does she even understand what services are provided for by the City? Makes me wonder what else she would "protect" that the City does not provide?

I have never ran for public office. I don't understand how anyone in Chino Hills, who is registered to vote, lacks the understanding that the Fire Board is a separate legal entity with its own elected board. What do they think the Fire Board election materials that show up in their mail box every two years is for.
I care that voters don't know who and what they are voting for.
I would support a basic civics test before anyone could vote.
