Maryland Democrat quits congressional race amid vote fraud allegations
By Ben Pershing

This post has been updated

A Maryland Democratic candidate quit her congressional race Monday after her own party told state officials that she had committed fraud by voting in both Maryland and Florida in recent elections.

Wendy Rosen, a small-business owner running against freshman Rep. Andy Harris (R) in the Eastern Shore-based 1st Congressional District, released a statement saying that “with great regret, and much sorrow” she was resigning from the contest.

“Personal issues have made this the hardest decision that I have had to make,” Rosen said

Rosen’s announcement came the same day the state Democratic party released a letter to state Attorney General Douglas Gansler and state prosecutors reporting the allegations against Rosen.

“The Maryland Democratic Party has discovered that Ms. Rosen has been registered to vote in both Florida and Maryland since at least 2006; that she in fact voted in the 2006 general election both in Florida and Maryland; and that she voted in the presidential preference primaries held in both Florida and Maryland in 2008,” wrote Yvette Lewis, the state party chair.“This information is based on an examination of the voter files from both states. We believe that this is a clear violation of Maryland law and urge the appropriate office to conduct a full investigation.”

A senior Maryland Democrat said the party had been tipped off this weekend by someone within the party about Rosen’s potential issue. After checking the allegation, the party contacted Rosen on Monday morning and urged her to quit.

Local Democratic committees in the 1st district will now meet and vote on a new candidate to replace Rosen on the ballot. The new name must be submitted to the state by Sept. 27.

Regardless of his opponent, Harris is considered a safe bet for reelection. Though the 1st district was previously competitive — Democrat Frank Kratovil won the seat in 2008 before being ousted by Harris in 2010 — it was redrawn to be safer for Republicans after the 2010 Census.

Voter fraud has been a heated political issue, both in Maryland and across the country. Republicans have frequently accused Democrats of turning their backs on the practice, while Democrats say the GOP uses alleged fraud as a way to keep Democrats from the polls.

“If the Maryland Democrat Party is willing to push one of its own candidates out of the race due to voter fraud, I’m sure this means they will join us in an effort to purge the rolls across Maryland of illegal immigrants, the deceased, and those otherwise unqualified to vote,” said David Ferguson, executive director of the Maryland Republican Party.“It is a sad state of affairs that Democrat voters considered Wendy Rosen to be their model citizen for the First District and represent them on November’s ballot.”

As recently as Sunday, Rosen still believed her campaign was going full-speed ahead.

“My trip to Charlotte was incredible!” she wrote on her Facebook page.“I didn’t get a moment on the floor of the arena ... I spent all of my time hunting for campaign support! Everyone was so helpful from Jan Schakowsky and Ben Cardin to all of the women’s groups, environmental groups, jewish organizations. I feel re-energized for this last 8 weeks! Forward, not Backward!”

Voter Fraud: 4 GOP Staffers Indicted in “Blatant and Disgraceful” Election Fraud August 09, 2012

Four congressional staffers of former Republican Rep. Thaddeus McCotter (R-MI), who resigned from Congress on July 6, will face criminal felony charges for voter and election fraud in Michigan. The charges were announced by Michigan’s Attorney General today.

The election fraud, described as “blatant,” includes forgery and faking petition signatures including using old signatures from past election forms. The voting fraud listed in the indictment report would appear to be the type of criminal activity that various voter ID laws recently passed would not have prevented.

“The approach taken was disgraceful,” said Michigan’s Republican Attorney General Bill Schuette, who announced the charges today. According to a report by the Attorney General’s office, McCotter’s staff had “completely lost its moral compass.”

Schuette said the staffers undertook forgery and election fraud and executed,”cut and paste jobs that would make an elementary school teacher cringe.”

The district got stiffed. People got stiffed,” the Attorney General Schuette said.

“Public service is not a game. This is not frat boys go to Washington. This is not a garage band in D.C.… It’s not some little fun exercise that you go to Washington or Lansing and it’s frat boy or ‘Animal House’ goes to the Capitol,” Schuette told reporters today.

The Detroit Free Press, reports that McCotter’s staff “pasted signatures from 2006 onto petitions for this year’s election.” Michigan’s 11th district where the election fraud took place is one of the wealthiest in Michigan with an average income of $59,000.

The definition of "middle income" or the "middle class" is politically charged as Romney and President Barack Obama fight to win over working-class voters. Romney would be among the wealthiest presidents, if elected, and Democrats have repeatedly painted him as out of touch with average people.

"Is $100,000 middle income?" Stephanopoulos asked.
"No, middle income is $200,000 to $250,000 and less," Romney responded.

Obama has pushed tax cuts for low- and middle-income families and tax increases for the wealthy, arguing that wealthier taxpayers fared well in the past decade, so it's time to pay up.

The nation's wealthiest taxpayers did get big tax breaks under Bush, with the top marginal tax rate reduced from 39.6 percent to 35 percent, and the second-highest rate reduced from 36 percent to 33 percent.

But income tax rates were lowered at every income level.

The changes made it relatively easy for families of four making $50,000 to eliminate their income tax liability.

Here's how they did it, according to Deloitte Tax:

The family was entitled to a standard deduction of $11,400 and four personal exemptions of $3,650 apiece, leaving a taxable income of $24,000.

The federal income tax on $24,000 is $2,769.

With two children younger than 17, the family qualified for two $1,000 child tax credits.

Its Making Work Pay credit was $800 because the parents were married filing jointly.

The $2,800 in credits exceeds the $2,769 in taxes, so the family makes a $31 profit from the federal income tax.

Factcheck

ACORN was never found guilty of leading to ONE fraudulent vote. Not one. Furthermore, ACORN was never hired by the Democratic Party to do voter registration and the Obama campaign did its own voter registration, rather than hire it out. Notably, the 2008 Obama campaign did not pay their volunteers, let alone pay per voter registration form.

However, the organizations hired by Republicans do pay per form, as did ACORN, although ACORN was a non-profit organization whereas the outlets hired by Republicans are for profit. This has led to massive voter registration fraud, described as “organized crime” and “bounty hunts.”

Brad Friedman points out that while protesting a bit too much, John McCain called ACORN the “greatest frauds in voter history.” That was when he was running for President in 2008, and after he had earlier praised ACORN.

It was also the same time period when McCain’s campaign hired a known fraudster to do voter registration in California. Prior to being hired by McCain,“Election officials and lawmakers have launched investigations into the activities of YPM workers in Florida and Massachusetts. In Arizona, the firm was recently a defendant in a civil rights lawsuit.”

Naturally, this fraudster once again committed voter massive registration fraud in 2008 and was arrested for for two felony counts and perjury. He pleaded guilty to voter registration fraud in 2009.

Here’s a timeline (read The Brad Blog for extensive breakdown):

2004: Tricking Democrats into registering as Republicans

California: Republican firm Sproul & Associates charged with shredding Democratic voter registrations and tricking Democrats and Independents into registering as Republicans. Nathan Sproul also accused of suppressing Democratic voter turnout, and working to get Ralph Nader on ballots.

Arizona, Florida: Mark Anthony Jacoby of Young Political Majors (YPM), who also ran JSM LLC with Jenny Breslin, who herself was the subject of a criminal investigation in Ohio for voter registration fraud for turning in registrations with forged signatures (she was never charged), faced charges of serious impropriety in Arizona and Florida for trashing Democratic voter registrations and switching party registrations on an estimated 4,000 students from Democrat to Republican. Once again, the “petition” drive regarding sex offenders was used. Jacoby was investigated but never charged.

Smooth Criminals: The Republican Al Capones of Voter Registration Fraud
By: Sarah Jones May 7th, 2012see more posts by Sarah Jones

How’d you like to find out that when you thought you were signing a petition to register sex offenders or get lower gas prices, you’d actually had your political party switched from Democrat to Republican? That’s happening in California, again. Yes, again. This is a reoccurring problem for the Republican Party every election cycle. It’s what’s known as a “bounty hunt”– paid voter registration drives that lead to accusations of massive fraud.

This time it’s Momentum Political Service in Sacramento, California, turning in thousands of invalid voter registration applications according to Sacramento County election officials. Over 3,100 voter registration cards have been turned over to the Secretary of State’s election fraud investigation unit.

This is a two part video of ACORN whistle blower Anita Moncrief speaking at the Americans for Prosperity convention in Florida last year. You will be angered to see her explain what she learned and how she was turned away from her liberal democrat allegiance, how the media refused to tell the public of Obama's fraudulent election and why you probably STILL haven't heard any of this.

(Excerpt) Read more at youtube.com ...

KEYWORDS: acorn; anita; breitbart; dsj
Andrew Breitbart is seen in the video (front row left). Yet, this hasn't been widely seen as far as I know.
PART ONE of the video is the young woman's story of how she was drawn to ACORN and what she learned on the inside. PART TWO continues to explain her conversion to conservatism after learning how the media manipulates the public and how she was brainwashed into thinking conservatives were her enemies.

Two things will happen when you find time to watch all 18 minutes and listen to this brave young woman:
1. you will want to send the videos to everyone you know and...
(2) you will wonder why this story is taking so long to be told, why it isn't all over the place and whether or not this woman is safe.

An Acorn Whistleblower Testifies in Court
The group's ties to Obama are extensive.

By JOHN FUND

Acorn, the liberal "community organizing" group that claims it will deploy 15,000 get-out-the-vote workers on Election Day, can't stay out of the news.

The FBI is investigating its voter registration efforts in several states, amid allegations that almost a third of the 1.3 million cards it turned in are invalid.

And yesterday, a former employee of Acorn testified in a Pennsylvania state court that the group's quality-control efforts were "minimal or nonexistent" and largely window dressing.

Anita MonCrief also says that Acorn was given lists of potential donors by several Democratic presidential campaigns, including that of Barack Obama, to troll for contributions.

The Obama campaign denies it "has any ties" to Acorn, but Mr. Obama's ties are extensive.

In 1992 he headed a registration effort for Project Vote, an Acorn partner at the time.

He did so well that he was made a top trainer for Acorn's Chicago conferences.

In 1995, he represented Acorn in a key case upholding the constitutionality of the new Motor Voter Act -- the first law passed by the Clinton administration -- which created the mandated, nationwide postcard voter registration system that Acorn workers are using to flood election offices with bogus registrations.

Under Obamacare, Medicare Double Taxation Begins in 2013

( CNSNews.com )- A provision of President Obama’s health care law imposes a second Medicare tax on investment income for Americans classified as wealthy, effectively raising taxes on investment income and taxing investors twice.

The provision, a little-known part of ObamaCare, levies a 3.8 percent Medicare tax on investment income for couples making more than $250,000 or individuals making more than $200,000 a year.

The tax is scheduled to go into effect on January 1, 2013.

Currently, the government levies a 2.9 percent Medicare payroll tax on all wages, with half (1.45%) paid by the individual and half by the employer.

Beginning in 2013, couples making more than $250,000 (or individuals making $200,000) will have to pay an additional 3.8 percent Medicare tax on any investment income (unearned income) they might have.

Welfare At All-Time High Under Obama

A record 5.4 million workers have applied for federal disability checks since President Obama took office, according to a news report that cites recent government figures.

This is straining already-stretched government finances while posing a long-term economic threat by creating an ever-growing pool of permanently dependent working-age Americans, the report says.

Since the recession supposedly ended in mid 2009, the number of people who have applied for disability benefits is double the job growth figure, according the report which includes an informative chart.

In just the first four months of this year, 539,000 joined the disability rolls and more than 725,000 applied for the federal benefit.

That means nearly 11 million people are on disability, according to the Social Security Administration.
