Remember what the reaction was to the student who innocently left a box cutter in his car. The student worked for a local grocery store and the box cutter was something he used at work. This tudent did not take the item into the school.
Fast forward to the student harassed by 2 teachers in this same school district.
Please residents vote all of these bums out.
Do not vote for the new levy. We are getting nothing for our money.
Let's vote to get rid of the Teachers Union in our district. The teacher's union is not the answer to our school problems the teachers union is the problem.

At first I read your comments and thought What an idiot. But then a read them again and think you have a point.
The Great Box Cutter Debacle was pure stupidity on the part of the board and not taking stronger action against the two teachers was embarrassing. The levy referendum is a sham--a district with fewer students needs fewer dollars.
So I'm with you on each of these.
But we can't "vote to get rid of the Teachers Union." Just can't happen. Only the Union can vote to get rid of itself.

Tom Heidemann is still seated as the chair, while kids are dying in our district, and he's working to entrench the homophobic lunacy of fundamentalists and those working as mouth pieces for Minnesota Family Council and Focus on the family who live in our district with the cashola to keep him seated.
Is there not a single soul who lives in his area who will run on a write in campaign?
If I lived in the right area I would have filed in August to unseat him.
He isn't listening to the louder and more numerous voices of the district, and listening only to those that wave a wad of cash in the air, threatening to do what with their cash I'm not sure. If that isn't the case, then he himself must also ascribe to the homophobic lunacy. Quite possible.

First of all I live across the street from Champlin Park High School and next door to Jackson, not in Waconia! I am tired of the Union wasting tax dollars and while it is nice to have such a large school, is it necessary? There are kids who live across the way who can walk to Jackson and CPHS who are bussed 4 miles away and kids who live 4-5 miles away bussed all the way up here! Declining enrollment, you betcha, why....well I can tell you that people are enrolling their kids in Maple Grove because they do not like the bussing rules and people are willing to carpool! We are wasting our money, when I grew up you went to school in your neighborhood, none of this bussing for integration! We also did not need multiple gyms! Keep it simple, I would like to vote them all out and leave it up to good old fashion PTA's and get rid of the union please!
