I'm also sorry to hear about the cabin. It takes a lot of work to build one and my hopes go out to the family that its not a loss.
Depending on the damage done by the fire, soda blasting might be able to restore it. check out www.homesteadblast.com

I feel so bad about the homeowner losing his home. I live off of Robin Hill road. I wonder if he is upset w/his sister for not helping to reopen the station right around the corner? It seems ridiculous that it people are getting hurt more and we have to wait for the area towns to bail us out. I'm scared for me and my cats.

How long did it take for the Fire Dept to arrive, seeing as the South Fire Station has been closed. That station would have been "first due"?

I am so sorry for the loss of the home and the memories it contained. How terrible.

It was a beautiful home. How awful.

I know how it feels to lose your home to FIRE, We lost ours in 1979 . it's not only the house that burns, it's all the things you had since you we born, thank God it didn't happen at night when you were all sleeping. My parents rebuilt it but it was never the same feeling, because it was ROBBED & BURNED, and they killed our little dog too, Fire is a nightmare

Not to bring a debate about taxes and politics but you're right 100%. People see money as a figure but they don't realize how important these resources are until it's too late. Now someone lost a beautiful home...not just a house.

His sister has done more than anyone else on the BoS to keep Chelmsford safe. She might be quiet, but she knows what's right and isn't afraid to do it.

hmmm ... I wonder who 'Actually' is? Could it be that 'she' herself is on the BoS? Could she be a Wojtas?

Why am I negative and distrustful of the leadership in the town of Chelmsford? Because I lived there for 45 years and I know how it works.

There are some good people working for the town. But there are more then enough empire builders and do-gooders that have ruined the town I grew up in.

I have no faith in any member of the current Board or school committee. I didn't and wouldn't vote for any of them. And I've met a good many of them.

The most positive thing I can say is that at least they're not as bad as the state or federal governments. I wouldn't let my wife or children near any member of either of those august bodies.

It really is a shame about what happened to these people's house. I can't imagine going through something like that. Back in the old days, everybody in town would band together and help these people out. It would certainly restore some of my faith my fellow residents if someone were to start some type of fund for these people.

As for the clock tower? Come on ... I simply noticed that 'Actually' is likely one of the town's fearless leaders patting themselves on the back and said what most all of us old townies think about what's happened to our town.

My point about the state and fed's is that they're a band of morally bankrupt, immature, misfits that I wouldn't let near my family. I mean really ... read the paper or watch the news to hear about how some one or the other of these fools has embarrassed themselves by stealing or sleeping around.

Would you leave your wife with the gov of SC? Would you lend $10 to Sen Dodd?

How very sad that these people lost their home. Fire knows no boundaries and they must have lost their photos, scrapbooks, and (if they're like me) the box of school projects saved since the children were in kindergarten... some things are irreplaceable. It only adds to it that they used their own hands to build the home. Their lives will never be the same. I hope they can find comfort with their family and friends.

well you probably wouldnt be saying that your wasting your tax dollars if it was your house or someone you cared about that this happened to.i cant believe your so heartless to post a comment like this after they lost not only their home but their memories as well.i dont look at it like we wasted our tax dollars,i look at it as helping one another out.

Daily Horoscope for December 28

Scorpio

The thought of the sales is almost too good to resist today, and you'll jump at the chance to see what's on offer. Even better if you can snap up some bargains at the same time. It's certainly a good day for investing your money carefully, but make sure you aren't more seduced by the reduction in the cost of something than in the item itself. Are you certain that you want to buy it?
