Will someone please help me understand how this story made it to the front page of the Sun today? This is not news. This is blog material. I expect the Sun editors to be a lot more diligent.

This article started out just like a typical 3rd grader's story....at least now we know at least one reason why she dislikes teachers so much....jealous of the snow days.

I think the Sun should issue an apology. Now that would be front page news.

I've really gotta wonder about the Sun and their reporters and their reports of driving into work or whereever....

If you watch their videos it appears that they are driving with one hand and holding their video cam/cellphone in the other. If thats how they cover their breaking stories then she by rights deserved to end up in a snowbank.... My father always taught me 2 hands on the wheel in bad weather or heck good weather for that matter.... I don't get why the Sun needs a video of traffic that we here in the Merrimack Valley already know stinks when it snows... Just my 2 cents.... Ms Smith how bout some winter defensive driving courses eh ?

Why even bother leaving that sort of posting "Rocky"? Do you have some sort of weird internet Turrett's Syndrome?

She was driving too fast for the road conditiond. I commuted from Boxborough to Nashua for 28 years in every kind of weather and never had an accident or spin out. I drove by hundreds of people who were off the road and those were the people driving too fast for conditions. The police and tow drivers will tell you the same thing.

If you can only do 35 or 40 during a storm that is what you do. I had cars blow by me that were on their roof a couple of miles up.

Slow down and smarten up.

"...conditions..." Posted twice as forum locked up.

That said glad she wasn't hurt but she needs to slow down. I recall the big ice storm on MLK day some years back and the State Police lowered the speed limit on 495 from 65 to 30.

Young lady you must learn to drive more safely in snowy conditions. Slowing down is excellent advice and I hope you practice it.

I love how she yells at the tow truck driver. Typical of this reporter. Ask anybody who has ever had to deal with her. As for The Sun putting this on Page One; must have been a slow news day.

There is not a chance in heaven or in hell that your toyota spun three times @ 30 mph.
Not a chance.
Either you were going WAY faster than that (in the left lane), or you are guilty of gross hyperbole.
In either case, there is no place for hyperbole on the front page (even the Lowell Sun), and there is no place for you in the high speed lane.
Learn to provide the facts - even in your non-story feature.
And learn to drive.
