So what is wrong with this idea? Welfare is supposed to help those receiving it exist until opportunity comes. It is not to support in such a way that it takes incentive away. Why get away from taxpayers(someone else) suport if all that is desired is paid for by someone elses effort.

So to save the taxpayers money, drug test all recipients of welfare, and supply treatment if they test positive, so they don't waste the taxpayers money on drugs.
So take the ability to waste money out of the hands of the people and put in the hands of the goverment, so it can be done right.

Kansas is becoming quite the cluster fuck.
You Conservative types may want to pay attention to what is happening there. The next 4 years should be very interesting for Kansasians.

Would the tests include those who receive government farm payments?

Farmers do not do drugs, or grow them.
Only inner city poor people of color do drugs.

Yes Rick Scott A.K.A. "Skeletor" has really done great work in FL.
His drug testing crap was shot down in the courts fairly quickly.

Very difficult being a moderate in Kansas these days. Huge mistake was made in electing Brownback as governer. If there was ever a wolf in sheeps clothes, he's the poster boy.

His version of "The Great Society" for Kansas is unrolling. It is doomed, of course, but he is doing everything possible to tilt the landscape.
