Jehovah's Witnesses beliefs and who are they?
The building of a Kingdom Hall “quick-build” is impressive, but many Witnesses and outsiders do not realize that this is also makes for clever economics. Few people except the religious will devote free time to putting up a building, but Witnesses can do it, and since non-baptized helpers are always present, it affords those reluctant to go door-to-door additional opportunities to “get their monthly time in,” as is required to be considered a Jehovah’s Witness. The local Witnesses benefit, since it cuts the cost of their loan from the Watchtower Society to get the land, and the Watchtower benefits, not only from the publicity but they also now own more property and buildings (No, the local Witnesses will never own it.). The Watchtower is big money, being one of the top 40 New York City Corporations making nearly one billion dollars a year. That's just from one of their many corporations. continued next post.......... |

continued from above.........
Unlike in the case of Christians who are persecuted in other lands for talking about Jesus Christ, Jehovah's Witnesses are largely persecuted for following the teachings begun during the second presidency of the Watchtower, when Joseph F. Rutherford took over in a corporate flap and began changing doctrines quickly in the Watchtower belief system. He claimed that "angels" directly conveyed truth to some of those in leadership. He coined the name Jehovah's Witnesses to make them stand out from being witnesses of Jesus, a typical evangelical expression (and a Biblical one). Rutherford dumped holidays, birthdays and the 1874 date for the invisible return on Christ, and invented an earthly class of Witnesses, since only 144,000 can go to heaven in their teaching. The rest, meaning all 99.9% of Witnesses still alive, will live forever on a cleansed earth, under the rule of the Watchtower leaders in heaven, who will keep them in line by local elders known as 'Princes'. If you have been witnessed to by Jehovah's Witnesses and you reject their message, you will likely die shortly at Armageddon with all the other non-Witnesses, since theirs is the only true religion, and (if they can live up to all the rules) they are the only ones to inhabit this new earth. If you believe Witnesses seem rigid now, any non-conformist during the future cleansed earth will be directly destroyed by Jehovah. Even now a Witness will be disfellowshipped for any one of many gaffs, such as smoking, taking a blood transfusion, or even voting. To even vocally question the teachings of the Watchtower will result in complete cutting off, with family and friends usually being forbidden to talk to them. The Watchtower is a truly Orwellian world, in a time when Orwellian societies are nearly obsolete. By their own Yearbook accounts, Witnesses are shrinking in number in many Western countries as of the last three years, as the internet facilitates the spread of information (much of it critical of the Witnesses). Witnesses are cautioned against creating JW-related websites, largely to prevent their members from discovering the history and dirty laundry of this organization on other websites.(There are literally hundreds of former members pages in many languages.) The Watchtower strives hard to control the flow of information to the individual Witness, and prefers that all instruction come through the magazines they carry door-to-door. Without this form of control, even as they themselves admit, they would believe just the same as other Bible believers. My hope is that there will be a day in each of their lives when the Watchtower magazine is no longer needed, and they can go to college, vote for office, and contribute money and time to other, more vital causes in their community. More than likely they will then cease to be persecuted, except in a few societies more authoritarian than their own. Sincerely, Danny Haszard Bangor Maine (expert witness on the Jehovah's witness) |

Jehovah's Witnesses child abuse pedophile cover-up
Pedophilia is covered up in the Jehovah's Witnesses on a scale worst than the Catholic priest scandal.Not only do they deny it but the Watchtower has instructed the Kingdom Hall elders to go after all whistle-blowers. The JW's exploit an obscure 2,000 year old bible passage and demand that there be TWO witnesses to every act of child abuse committed by a Jehovah's Witness.This fosters a code of silence and a "pedophile's paradise" in the Jehovah's Witnesses. Jehovah Witness pedophiles go door to door as part of their faith to recruit converts! The 'Two Witness' Take-Down is a subterfuge exploited by Jehovah's Witnesses that is selectively enforced by elders who play favorites and fast & loose with the truth,an excuse to ignore and suppress evidence at whim. Will they have a food pantry,soup kitchen,or let AA use their building to hold AA meetings like the other charitable Churches do?Does the Watchtower contribute anything back to the community,for their tax free status?
THINK all you readers who have Kingdom Halls in your town,have you ever seen any charity from them?$200 billion in Watchtower corporation worldwide real estate assets. |

I have never seen,nor heard of J.w.s donating to charities........ why???
|
||||
Because a slave can not be greater than it's master. The WBTS doesn't care about anything but it's own interests, ergo the JW is simply following the training. |
||||
because the end is "just around the corner", so it's much better to build new kingdom halls so that people can be saved.:-) |

Personally I find the following to be a sound reason why you never hear of what any witness does or does not do concerning charity "6 “Take good care not to practice YOUR righteousness in front of men in order to be observed by them; otherwise YOU will have no reward with YOUR Father who is in the heavens. 2 Hence when you go making gifts of mercy, do not blow a trumpet ahead of you, just as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may be glorified by men. Truly I say to YOU, They are having their reward in full. 3 But you, when making gifts of mercy, do not let your left hand know what your right is doing, 4 that your gifts of mercy may be in secret; then your Father who is looking on in secret will repay you." From the Literal Translation and King James versions as well. "Mat 6:1 Take care not to do your merciful deeds before men in order to be seen by them. But if not, you have no reward from your Father in Heaven. Mat 6:2 Therefore, when you do merciful deeds, do not trumpet before you as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, so that they may be glorified by men. Truly I say to you, They have their reward. Mat 6:3 But you doing merciful deeds, do not let your left know what your right hand does, Mat 6:4 so that your merciful deeds may be in secret. And your Father seeing in secret Himself will repay you in the open. Mat 6:1 Take heed that ye do not your alms before men, to be seen of them: otherwise ye have no reward of your Father which is in heaven. Mat 6:2 Therefore when thou doest thine alms, do not sound a trumpet before thee, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. Mat 6:3 But when thou doest alms, let not thy left hand know what thy right hand doeth: Mat 6:4 That thine alms may be in secret: and thy Father which seeth in secret himself shall reward thee openly. Mat 6:5 And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward." |

WOW what Watchtower apologist blaspheme! Thumping Jesus sermon on the mount address as a cover for being stingy cheap bastards and a LIE too as you got nothing in the way of "gifts of mercy" to offer in the first place. There are some contrived fabricated media puff pieces out there advertising watchtower goodies, that's why Danny Haszard ask the readers have YOU seen their charity? |

The Watchtower Society and humility. Not exactly 'ham and eggs', from what I have seen in my time. The WBTS also likes to claim “humility” as the cause for not divulging the names of the men that “translated” the New World Translation. When in reality, we know the names of the men and that these men had no schooling in the ancient languages and couldn't translate a dinner menu for one language to another if their lives depended on it. Humility, that’s a good one. And NMB, you went to so much work trying to make a case for your comments. Just dang. The WBTS ain't helpin' nobody but the WBTS. |

Exactly when did this question turn to the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society? Original question: "I have never seen,nor heard of J.w.s donating to charities........ why???" THe scripture given would explain why no one other than God knows what charitable efforts individual witnesses make. No one else NEEDS to know. The question did not ask what charitable efforts the WBTS made. "Thumping Jesus sermon on the mount address as a cover for being stingy cheap bastards and a LIE too as you got nothing in the way of "gifts of mercy" to offer in the first place." from Danny Haszard. "The Watchtower Society and humility. Not exactly 'ham and eggs', from what I have seen in my time." from Steve Lowry Leave it to you two to twist it into an attack on the WBTS. |

All I want to know is what charitable involvement the Watchtower Society is involved with that is outside the WBTS’ interests (i.e., non-JW agenda). That's MY question and the only one I'm interested in. Is the WBTS feeding the poor? Is it helping widows and orphans or the world?(No, it is not.) To do so, is by Biblical standards, TRUE love and what being CHRISTIAN is all about. Look it up! The Church’s I have frequented don’t go about advertising their humanitarianism and good works when it comes to helping the poor and the needy. They just go about getting it DONE, man.(As the JW likes to say, faith without works is dead!) It’s a community effort and all are welcome to participate and it IS even encouraged. It’s not a secret. I find that some people today (as well as organizations like the WBTS) that aren’t very quick to help others, always have a ready excuse (humility, there are always going to be the poor, etc. bla bla bla). NMB, you associate yourself with an institution that offers no help outside of its own interests. Learn it, accept it, assimilate it, or be in denial. Your choice. NMB, how would you like join me in helping the poor of the world? I have in the past donated a part of my monthly income to helping those in underdeveloped countries that don’t know even where their next meal is coming from. How about you and I split the twenty dollars or so that it takes to help feed the widows and orphans and the starving children of the world who are in need? It might not be much, but it’s something. And you’ll know you’ve made a difference. We could acquire an arbitrator to handle the moneys. Whataya say? Here’s the thing NMB. Those who are in need don’t care much about your humility or mine. Want to join me? Or are you too “humble” to participate? I grow weary of this false humility I see in JW’s and JW wanna be’s. I’d be glad to make contact with a Christian institution that is actively involved in the process of helping the hungry and needy of the world, and set it up. Of course that might be a conflict for you regarding your JW affiliation, when it comes to dealing with those Christian organizations that aren’t as “humble” as the Watchtower Society, who are actually DOING something. Let’s go. The offer is real. I wait on your response. |
||||
Wow, NMB, you should take this comedy routine on the road!! The JW organization doesn't "blow a trumpet" when they perform any charitable works? ROFL No, they don't blow a trumpet...they just publish every little detail of every little charitable act that any individual or portion of the JW organization does in their magazines, and they bring it out in talks at the KH and/or on assembly programs. I have NEVER observed so much "tooting of horns" as that done by JWs when ANY sort of charitable action is performed by ANY JWs. How about the major patting of backs when JWs went out to aid OTHER JWs after Katrine and SOME worldly people benefited from the leftover crumbs? When ANY sort of aid is provided by individual JWs or individual congregations after a disaster, the WTS makes a TREMENDOUS deal about it and shouts it to the world. On the other hand, there are many, many churches that perform charitable deeds on a day-to-day basis, and they never praise themselves about it. Sometimes, their works are discovered by others and brought to the attention of the locality, but they don't scream it out as do JWs. |

RHW, "On the other hand, there are many, many churches that perform charitable deeds on a day-to-day basis, and they never praise themselves about it. Sometimes, their works are discovered by others and brought to the attention of the locality, but they don't scream it out as do JWs."
I think that's cause' they're (Christian organizations) too busy doing it, to boast about it. Every Church that I have attended over the last twenty years has had some means of support for the needy of their local community. It was things like this that showed me (a former JW) what the true love of Christianity is all about. I spent twenty years as a JW, and never heard the first word about helping others, outside the Kingdom Hall walls. Yea, most Christians don’t realize that the term Easter has pagan ties, or that Jesus wasn’t actually born in the winter. But that’s just intellectualism’s that that alone leaves one dry and void of love, understanding, and compassion. Keep the intellect. I was way “smart” for twenty years. I’ll do well to emulate the love and compassion and sacrifice that I have seen many Christians display, even though they may believe Jesus was born on the 25th. |

My girlfriends church is the ultra liberal Uniterian Universalist (btw has the most college educated adults at 55%) the church spends 40% of their gross off the top directly on charity,they have a gourmet soup kitchen that the community and the poor of Bangor Maine NEEDS. Its like the WBTS sucks the compassion right out of the JW. Its kinda weird. |

I being a Christian a Follower & Worshiper of Christ, took it upon myself to study with Jehovah's to see what your beliefs are, this went on for many months, once a week, & attended your celebrating the "Annivesary of His death", & here only the remaining chosen 144 000 were able to drink the wine & eat the bread. Jesus said to His Disciples that it must be done in rememberance of Him, not just left for the "selected few".
Also during my studies with Witnesses, it is common knowledge that you learn more from literature passed down from your governing body than the actual Bible. You know my views on the NWT already, I have a copy, & cover it quite frequently with my girlfriend who has studied Greek & Hebrew. There are just so many flaws, I have even found them myself looking through your version of an interlinear. You speak about the Whore who rides the beast as being of other faiths, you have forgotten to include yourselves in that Prophecy. Your Founder Charles Taze Russell was fascinated by pyramids & believed that answers lay with them for man kind, even to the point of his belief, he has a pyramid for a tombstone check site: http://www.spotlightministries.org.uk/russell ... Look at the the false prophecies your organisation made and tries to back up by continuing to change dates to try suit the changing times because of their inaccurate predictions that are NOT BREATHED OF GOD! TILL HE COMES... |

Hello Brian, The end was in 1914 when christ returned "INVISABLY" . Why do you wait for another end and another christ return. According to the wt it already happend. |
