I find it very funny that anything written in defense of this man is not posted on any forums, only derogatory and cruel comments are posted!!!!!!!!!! THE MEDIA!!! WOW SO ONE SIDED !!!!!
OK then, so I see you'd want to nominate this drunk for sainthood? What positive is there to say about a drunk who has been convicted and who has murdered two people? The only thing positive he's had was that he got off easy, as most drunks do. And now he's out and being drunk again. Where is the positive spin for that? He's a drunk, he'll always be a drunk and when he drives he's a menace to everyone. It's just a matter of time before he racks up another victim.

Who are you to judge someone? How would you feel if this was one of your family members and that only one side of the story is being published? I am sure that you or someone you know has driven under the influence or made a bad decision in life, does that make you hate them? If so, you probably do not have many friends. What he did is not the right thing to do I will give you that, but to say the mean and cruel things that people say with knowing this man and his innocent family is just uncalled for! Bad things happen to good people sometimes. Just remember, there are always two sides to every story. The media only wants you to hear or see the bad... that is what keeps them in business!

I would like to hear his side of the story! I cut my finger with a box knife once, guess what I learned from it and never did it again. It's called learning from your mistakes, it seems obvious to me this person never has and never will learn his lesson on drinking and driving. Needs to be put away for life, before he kills "You"!

So you NEVER use a box knife now? hmmm. I myself do not drink but it just amazes me how hypocritical people are. People make mistakes in life. He served his time then. So you want him put away so we can pay for his jail time with our tax dollars. What is wrong with revoking his license for life and allowing him to pay his own way.

Yes I do, but now without it being dangerous. Seems to me this guy can't drink without making bad decessions, nothing wrong with paying his own way. Life is a lesson, this guy not going to figure it out until he kills himself or someone else again!! You can take his license away but that doesn't stop anyone from still driving!!

1. ANYONE can get one DUI, but if u don't have a "problem" u r not going to get behind the wheel of a vehicle after drinking again.

2. The MAXIMUM sentence for DUI resulting in a death is ONLY 8 years.

3. I had a friend who was hit and killed by a 26 year old female who was intoxicated and this was
her 2nd DUI. Before trial, appx. 25 people wrote letters of protest to the judge asking for the maximum sentence, a petition with over 2000 signatures was also sent to the judge. I'm sure glad we went to the trouble because he gave her 4 whole years. And in court she was on crutches from her 3rd DUI she had received between DUI #2 and coming to court for it.

4. This happened in 1989 and as far as I know the laws have not been changed. This is the only way to change things like this from happening. Drinking is legal and there are a lot of people out there with problems (lawmakers, judges, CEOs
etc.) How soon do u think they r going to change
the laws? If u get behind the wheel the (ESPECIALLY THE SECOND TIME U R A MURDERER!!!)

Me, I'm the guy who isn't on the jury because he's seen to much damage done by drunks. I'm the guy who lost three friends to a drunk. I'm the guy who worked in the Terre Haute, Indiana hospital emergency room xray department who for seven years dealt with both the victims and the drunks, guess who was worse off medically? Usually not the drunks. Nothing good can be said about a drunk who drives. Nothing good should be said about a drunk who repeats his mistake. You seem to look at this as a mistake, it is NO mistake, it's a choice that the person makes, and once they are drunk their ability to make the right decision is gone. And once they have made their 'mistake', they should learn, but they don't, most of the time they will do it again. Do I drink? From time to time, yes I do. Have I ever been drunk, yes I have, I didn't like it and I'm careful not to get drunk ever. Have I ever driven drunk, NO. I've spent thirty years working in hospitals and watching the staff try and put people back together after their brief encounter with a drunk driver. I've helped with the body in the morgue who died in the accident. I've watched the families of the victims come in to claim the bodies of their loved ones. The drunks don't see this, it usually happens before they sober up and by then they have gone home or to jail depending on who they know or how much money they have.

Because of what I do, I have a great deal of compassion for my patients, and in the ER it's needed more than ever. But when you hear the ER call and you are getting ready to receive five patients from an accident and that one of them is the drunk driver who naturally survived, you know that your compassion has its limits. You also know that you will still show compassion to the drunk even though you don't want to, they aren't worth it.

So, what good do you see in these people? IF, they seek the help they need, more power to them, it shows that they have learned to think and may be trying to take responsibility for their actions. Most don't and will do it again. It's like the sex offender/pedophile, they will always be what they are,, so it is with the alcoholic.

Gawwwwwd you are stupid...

"What he did is not the right thing to do I will give you that"

I will give you that!?

Gee thanks.

HE KILLED TWO PEOPLE and is trying to do it again and you are worried about the "other side of the story"

Why don't you make up the "other side of the story" that will make me think this guy is anything other that a waste of flesh, piece shi t alcoholic, killer.

If his victims were from YOUR "innocent family" I am sure you wouldn't be talking about "bad things happen to good people"

What gets me is that this guy murdered two people and only got the 2 years. If I did that and was sober, I'd be locked up for years, but I guess it's OK if I kill people drunk. It's only a couple of years off my life and I'm free to go out and do it again. WHY? That shows you how terribly wrong the system is.
I feel really sorry for his victims.
Do you want to know something really sick... Barldull got off after serving only one year in jail and was mad at us guys for not being sorry for him that he was incarcerated. NOT ONLY that, the father of the girls he killed had to work in the same place as Barkdull and had to see him everyday.... imagine the injustice to this father.
