What the law says about slow drivers and the left-lane:

IC 9-21-5-7
Reduction of speed; impeding normal and reasonable movement; right-of-way to other vehicles
Sec. 7. A person may not drive a motor vehicle at a slow speed that impedes or blocks the normal and reasonable movement of traffic, except when reduced speed is necessary for safe operation or in compliance with the law. A person who is driving at a slow speed so that three (3) or more other vehicles are blocked and cannot pass on the left around the vehicle shall give right-of-way to the other vehicles by pulling off to the right of the right lane at the earliest reasonable opportunity and allowing the blocked vehicles to pass.
As added by P.L.2-1991, SEC.9.

IC 9-21-5-9
Vehicles traveling at reduced speeds; use of right lane
Sec. 9. A vehicle that travels at a speed less than the established maximum shall travel in the right lanes to provide for better flow of traffic on the interstate highways.
As added by P.L.2-1991, SEC.9.

IC 9-30-13-2
Obstruction of traffic
Sec. 2. For a person who uses a motor vehicle to commit obstruction of traffic under IC 35-42-2-4, the judge of the court in which the person is convicted may recommend that the current driver's license of the person be suspended for not less than sixty (60) days and not more than two (2) years.
As added by P.L.2-1991, SEC.18.

If you are weaving in and out of traffic in an SUV (hint: its NEVER EVER going to be a sports car, even if it says "SS," moron) like you're Nigel Mansell, then you are driving aggressively, PERIOD.
It sucks this fellow died because he was in a hurry to get home from Home Depot or whatever the heck he was doing, but it happens.
I'm sick of hearing about crap like this happening on 69, but if you insist on being part of the problem, then you can expect to die.
This man was my dad, and let me tell you something....you should think about what's coming out of your mouth before you say it because you have no damn idea what happened out there that day. The reason he had to change lanes back so fast is because the dumbass in front of them locked his brakes up and came almost to a complete stop...so tell me he was driving aggressivley. You have no idea, the only people who know are the ones that were there that day. For my mom's sake I wish you people would learn to have a little more respect for the living and the deceased.

Unfortunately, we go thru this every day on I-69. Folks run up on others so fast than no amount of ESP programs, anti-lock brakes or good luck will prevent a wreck.

I was driving home the other day and at the 96th street exit. I saw a guy riding a bicycle on I69. He appeared to be homeless

To whoever said the statement...whoever patrols that area get off your asses....

I drive that jaunt 4 to 6 times a day....fact is I see IPD and other police whip through that area at 80mph plus daily that are just going home. After seeing this many times and following one off 96th exit ramp to his house....and then another time same dude to steak n shake...followed him from the south side all the way to the north side on my way home....85mph all the way....to get in line at a steak n shake drive through....

When he saw me behind him taking pics with my iphone he took off. So they know what they are doing....just above the law. Same thing that got Bisard in trouble...feeling he was above the law.
