HBO film documents Anderson life, racing
Sammy Hawkins has never won a Thundercar race at the Anderson Speedway, but that hasn't crimped his celebrity status.

I really enjoyed this HBO documentary, Sammy- you are a trip !! Being in upstate New York (not PA), it is not common to have communities tight knitted with large scale manufacturing. It was truly an eye opener to learn of your town. My area is very rural with limited employment opportunities, and if you haven't been a local for atleast three generations, good luck with that job. It is sad to see the demise of the auto industry and the shrinking town. The filming may be 2 years old now, but Anderson looks to be a fun and welcoming community. I see there may opportunities for new businesses to purchase the closed plants, good news. But what will they have to really offer? Has much changed there in the past 2 years since filming ?? How's Wild Wille doing ?
