Electric rates in Southern Alabama have doubled over the past year.
In this economy, at the rate of cost increases, people are going to be forced to choose between paying electric bills or buying groceries.

What a coincedence this would happen right around the time I decide to move down there.
Leaving N.Y. to get away from the high tax rates, high cost of living only to face it all over again.

You could do a lot worse.
I'm 3 miles outside the city limits, have an acre+ of ground, 1200 square foot home, 770 square foot work shop, storage shed, metered water (septic system too) and pay less than $200 a year in property taxes....

Whew, I'm glad to hear that by the way how are the job prospects out that way. Looking for something in the medical field. Do you have any suggestions?

I think this is due to the fact that people still push through studies that tend to disprove global warming. While I concede that this is SCIENCE and that this involves the search for the truth, I still think that legislators should consider what the people think is right- basically, environmentalism, being the trend nowadays. I think this has something to do with self-interests and what-not of politicians who own energy industries. let's face it, scientific dynamism is good, but still, legislation's job is to listen to the people. and people think that environmentalism is the way. hence, they must side with environmentalism.

Daily Horoscope for December 22

Sagittarius

Be careful about what you eat and drink today, my prancing Archer. Your body is in a sensitive state, so be well advised and steer clear of anything that might upset you, or to which you're sometimes allergic. Avoid anyone who's a one-man germ factory, in case a few bugs happen to jump out and over to you. Right now, you could do without it.
