Bloomberg has completely destroyed this once great city. He only came here to become Mayor to take us for everything we got because he is a greedy, uncaring tyrant. How could New Yorkers be so easily manipulated by him? We've lost half of our landmarks because of him. All that money he's put for the new baseball stadiums and remodeling Washington Square Park could've went for something more important like homeless and animal shelters. He's just wasting his money to remodel New York and taking away our treasures.

yeah the city is doing so well that mr mike you chased me out to the forbidden zone - long island
land of high taxes and you know what, the quality of life is so much better, big deal you gave us star rebates over the years-$400 here and there you didn't have to raise our property taxes 20% from the day you took office, you have done nothing but build more condo's in an already overpopulated city , you bought the mayor's office and here i thought you were going to try and buy the presidency!

Anybody remember a couple of years ago when Con Ed was out in parts of Queens for at least a week, and this retard of a mayor praised the jerk that runs that defunct utility, while many people and businesses lost merchandise and money, this clown doesnt know what it feels like to have an empty stomach for longer then 10 minutes i bet, also when the crane collapsed in Manhattan a couple of weeks ago, it was he who said,"this is New York, things happen", yeah, Mike tell that to the relatives of the dead, az zhole .He wants to change this industrial city into a playground, resort for his elitist bluebloods he hob nobs with.anyone who praises this man knows nothing of the real Bloomberg!

What you fail to relize is that a community is made of many economic classes. If everyone in this city was rich, who would work in the restaraunts the rich love so much? Who would work in the play houses, museums and all the other things that make this city great. It is pure a s s h o l e i s m required to make a comment like you did Steven. The fact that New York City subsidized and workes at communities haveing mixed incomes is condusive to the word COMMUNITY. How could you say the city is better. It stinks all over new york. Whatever he did with the sanitation department since Giuliani left, the city is dirty and it stinks everywhere. Its ugly too. There is scadfolding, bad sidewalks, rats and pigeons, homeless everywhere. Not to mention that hole in the ground for the last 7 years. Lets not forget the racial tension and only 5 blocks from city hall the "I hate white the man" comes out to greet tourist everyday. The clean and good running subway he said there is. I almost pasted out on two occasions while riding the D train as some homeless man couldn't even find a place to take a bath. I saw a woman pass out after she went to use a bannister in the subway and found a palm full of feces. New York is groce!! Bloomberg is a New York joke!!!!

I haven't agreed with everything Bloomberg has done, but I really don't think the city could have asked for a better mayor during the post 9/11 decade.

The man is a visionary. Sure some of his major plans have been roadblocked, but that's only because he has actually tried to do major things. There is no way you can say he isn't earning his pay (he charges the city $1 a year in salary).

We're lucky to have him, and if we were smart, we'd elect him governor next. Here's to business-friendly, socially-conscious moderates! Who would have known that was even possible?

I'm from Long Island, and I'll tell you this: If you couldn't afford the city, you won't be long for the Island. Better plan your next move.

Did he fix Con Ed yet? Summer is around the corner.
Queens hold on to your generators.
Mikes building on 60th Street is complete now. He can walk away from being a part time mayor.
All the city agencies are headed by robots that loose their voices when asked intelligent questions. When is he going to clean house? He didnt even have enough people to fill the agencies requirements for leadership during transition. The city employees are being pistolwhipped every 4 years. They look forward to a new election and new agency heads in hope for some calm, then sadly their is none. What a political mess. Nepotism is king.....

just pointing out
i can afford the city but the congestion was just too great
i lived in a wonderful upper middle class neighborhood in queens but alternate side of the street parking and every single house that was bought knocked down and 3 3 family condo's in its place ruined the way of life, you had to drive around for an hour to find a parking space how is this growth helpful to the city only to his tax fund but a major inconvenience to the residents.

No changes to infrastructure???
More buses and taxis....and using hybrid engines. all will be converted to hybrid by 2015 i believe.
the 2nd avenue subway is actually a reality after 60 years of red tape.
cutting the nonessentials in govt, by taking away nyc paid cars from people who dont need it, taking away offices and implementing matrix style bullpens.
mayor mike for president.
More Buses and Taxis... Correct on the Taxi Part, and unless you need more fingers, 2015 IS A LONG WAY from now. Like I said, remove the taxis and clean the air.

The 2nd Avenue Line will not be completed at LEAST for another 10 years, if you're lucky. And then it'll serve WHO? Well to do elitest morons like you.

NYC paid cars? What are you talking about? Police Cars? I might agree, more beat officers walking the streets and no more of the ridiculous institutional back slapping maneuvers you see weekly where 100 police cars all line up, engines running, lights blaring... FOR WHAT?

OH, and unless you didn't get it, my original post was an ironic portrayal of your sad little mind, but guys like you are what invented the VIP line at DISNEY... The 2 hour call ahead for Reservations, the dog walker and the nail salon...
You should feel proud of yourself...

Wow, so anti-Semites and liberals both hate Bloomberg?

I suppose the man who arouses the ire of both the white trash and latte liberals has got to be damn good.

Congratulations, New York, on having the good sense to elect two excellent mayors in a row. Let's hope whoever replaces the mayor in a coupla years has what it takes to continue the Giuliani-Bloomberg legacy.

I think that some of you need to grow up with the AIDS comments as well as the anti-semite rants as well.

The fact of the matter is that who ever wrote "if you cant afford to live here you should move" is correct. It is bad enough you old time new yorkers make rents ridiculously high because of your rent controlled apartments!! Govt should let free markets determine rent!! Oh and if your curious I pay 2700k for a 1 bedroom on the UWS with plenty to spare.
