Oreo Defense Used in Conn. Speeding Case

Police say a man's excuse for speeding through a small Connecticut town takes the cake -- or, at least, the cookie.

Either way, he needs to go to jail for a year or so, he had no license and he knew it yet he chose to drive. At this time I feel that incarceration is the only viable solution. Just be glad he did not kill someone in this accident.

You will find more and more often if you dig deep enough, that it isn't because you were drinking that you got in an accident, it was because you were SPEEDING and driving recklessly. These types of people will speed whether they have had a drink or not. They are also the impatient ones, tailgating, changing lanes to get in front of someone just to be able to be in front. They have done it to me numerous times. They get in front of me by recklessly darting in my buffer zone and the car in front of me, only to slow down and drive at a snail's pace. It's called a power trip, not DUI.

He's got an Oreo, and a glass/carton/whatever of milk, and he's DUNKING the Oreo while he's trying to pay attention to the road... In addition to every thing else, he should be busted for reckless driving. And, stupidity for admitting the whole dunking Oreo thing...

forget that. I have had my license suspended for not paying a ticket oh and another time for not brining in my old car that i never drove for emissions.

You gotta use common sense with these things. Now if his DL was suspended for DUI thats another story but if its for some dumb ticket forget that.

The guy was dumb for trying to "dig out the cookie" but at the same time i have seen idiots in traffic reading books or the all famous moron that needs to talk on the phone and not pay attention to the road.
