I am shocked that anyone still listens to Limpwad, but I guess stupid people on welfare need something to do all day.

I have never seen or met an actual listener of his but most people do not listen to AM radio anymore and if he actually has a few million listeners, bet at least 75% of them doesn't work being that he is on at noon Eastern time.

Well every republican that I know that doesn't work, and there are a lot of them, listen to Rush. He is their spiritual leader whether they want to admit it or not.

I still believe he is still a drug addict, you know one of those types he deplored before getting caught himself, lost his hearing from drug addiction, some of his fans need to be careful as they represent that defect of Rush every time they squawk a line from him..

How many programs are needed? How many can we afford? There are already 6 veteran retraining programs.
$1.8 billion in grants has been announced to retrain miners. How about this - stop regulations that close down mines so they can work and pay into the economy instead of putting workers on unemployment and government hand-outs.

Well obviously, those programs are not working if the unemployment rate among vets is roughly 4% higher. We have a 759 billion dollar defense budget. There's no reason we can't spend 200 million on vets over the next 5 years. The oil fields in North Dakota are screaming for help. How about all of the unemployed miners pack up and move to North Dakota and work on oil rigs. The money is way better anyway. informed citizen wrote: How many programs are needed? Republicans have said that about every single jobs bill that the democrats have put on the table. At some point in time, republicans are going to have to get off their asses and do something. I am not sure how anyone in their right mind could call a bill designed to help veterans "election season theatrics," but then again, what's left of the republican party are clearly not in their right minds. informed citizen wrote: <quoted text> Perhaps they haven't or don't want to look for these job opportunties. 6 programs are enough for the moment. Yeah, the funny thing is, they say that about everything that dems try to get done in congress. I guess the only conclusion we can draw about republicans is there's no cheap political theatrics for them--because they're doing nothing. Nothing at all. And to think that some people are so idiotic that they want to reward that kind of behavior.

WEll, think about it...who does less and takes more welfare and is a bigger idiot than republican tea party voters....NO one... Of course they'd support the pro-rich Do nothing republicans.

I am just amazed that if you look at the republican record over the last couple of years and see that they have done nothing except to block every piece of legislation that has been put in front of them that people want to reward that kind of childish behavior. If you look at the recent polls, I think you will see that this approach is not working for them at all. Not in the least. For as unpopular as some claim that Obama is, he is getting his message out there and that message is that he and the democrats are at least TRYING to do something. The republicans are only blocking those efforts because they think that restoring their party to power is more imporantant that restoring America. 2008 was the beginning of the end for republicans. 2012 will BE the end of republicans.

Well, put. And there's no arguing that. They have taken on radical religious wing nuts that make most in this nation ill to their stomachs. Especially the latest assertion that rapists and pedophiles TELL their victims to Bring that rape to birth. How sick and depraved do you have to be to HATE women so much? That, and not caring about the poor, telling the middle class their taxes will go up, telling those without health care to go to the emergency room...such anti-Christ beliefs are making the majority of Americans absolutely sick.

Most of them did...you have the die hard SSDI and SSI republcians who HATE the government and the democrat party that created their assistance to help them because it's only right in a civilized nation to do so, but they will STILL vote for the party going end it all for them. But, women are a bit wiser...

Sundog512 wrote: First of all, Earl, as of 2010, there were 21.8 million veterans in the US, so the chances that you know all of them is exatly zero. Therefore, your anecdotal "I don't know any Veteran that wants to work that isn't employed" thing is meaningless because there are a lot of Vets that you don't know. Secondly, the national average of 12.1% unemployment for veterans vs. 8.1% unemployment for all, shows that there was/is clearly a need for this bill. Lastly, in case you haven't noticed, state and post office hiring is down as well. Jesus, you are a numbskull. You must have breathe in/ breathe out tattooed on your eyelids. <quoted text> Lots of Postal positions open. Where are you checking? Premier??????
