Jasmin - You're right. I live half a block away from the shooting. There were way more cops than people. Channel 9 news caught a lot of it on film. Cops shot rubber bullets into a crowd - bad enough - then another show-off cop let a police dog loose on the crowd. Small children were sitting on their lawns and were attacked by the police dog! What was that cop trying to prove???

You forgot the part where the crowd was throwing rocks and beer bottles at the cops. The crowd was out of control and very misunderstanding of their own actions. Plus, the parents of the kids must be illogical to have their kids out in front of a crime scene where shots have been fired and while the crowd is a wild up to cause a riot.

Police abuse again seems that its out of control, its sad how now days when bad things hapens the public always supports cops but in a rage of power trip cops abuse of the power given to them by us citizens and they use exesive or deadly force in some cases were they didnt need to, before when i was younger i hear my friends wanted to be a good cop when they grow up but now when i see my kids and they see this on the media they would never want to be a cop, they have a bad idea of them and i will start runing too if i see a cop aproching me because even when you coperate to their demands they still abuse of their power and will give you a hard time

Only running will make it worst. Henceforth, the male being shot. People should educate themselves by learning their own rights.

You are depending on a subculture that does not value education, to become educated.

I wonder why these same people never get upset and demonstrate when there is a gang killing in their neighborhood?

The only one that comes out the winner in all of these killings is the company that makes the religious candles.

I woke up to reading news about a police shooting down the street, on La Palma Ave and Anna Drive, and I guess a cop shot a man in the back as the man was running away from the police. The people there then set trash dumpsters on fire and blocked the street, and the citizens demanded that the police chief come talk with them so that they could tell the police chief what happened. The people then began throwing rocks and bottles at the police, and the police fired rubber bullets into the crowd. The whole situation escalated, and it is dividing our community. The police are there to serve the people of the community, but right now the community is mad at the police. This is not the way that things are supposed to be, everyone is supposed to be on the same team.

So what needs to happen now is that the police chief, John, needs to go talk with the community, and he needs to let them know that the police department is there to serve the community, and there needs to be a full investigation of the shooting. The people need to feel like the police are there to serve and protect them, and that the police are on their team, and that the police are part of the community. Also, when I was in Kiwanis we went into the worst neighborhood in Anaheim and we went door to door and we brought the people together, along with the owners of the apartment buildings, to clean up the neighborhood, and to improve things there, and it worked, we brought the people together and we cleaned the area up, and the crime went down, and we totally helped to improve that area, and the same thing needs to happen at La Palma and Anna.

The community needs to be united for the betterment of all, instead of being divided.

Salute,

Tony V.

Me me so its ok for someone to get shot because they r running? That's stupid for you to say and u need to get ur info straight !! The guy got shot 2 not once but 2, the cop shot him on the butt and he fell to his knees there was no need for the cop to shoot again !! The second shot was to the head, I can understand leg, arm but why the head? The guy had his back to cop and even worse the still hand cuffed him when he wasn't moving and there was blood all over his face oh Yeah and a hole on his head which they did see when they hand cuffed him, this is un called for and this cop just crossed the line just because you are a cop that doesn't give u the right to kill anyone just because they were running, I really hope that some day you dnt ever have to go through something like this becuase if and when u do you will remember how you were once talking out of your ass!!

If the cop is guilty, then that cop needs to go to prison!

There needs to be a full investigation.

And I know the police Chief, John, John is a good guy, and John even supports medical marijuana, and he does not want the police to hassle people over medical marijuana. John loves Anaheim, and John is a great guy. We have a good police chief here in Anaheim.

Groups such as Kiwanis need to go door to door in the La Palma / Anna area and bring the community together to improve things in the community. And John the police chief needs to let the people know that the cops are there to serve and protect the people, and that those officers would lay down their lives to protect the public, the police are part of the community, cops are people too, just like all of us, and the cops are part of our community who are there to serve us.

I don't know about Chief John, this is not the first time something like this happens, so he must not be doing something right with police officers. Like you said groups like Kawanis need to step in and do what Anaheim PD is not doing. I have never had any problems with police and I thought they were Here to protect and serve us but this was a real eye opener for me, and after this I don't trust them anymore and I don't think they are Here to protect and serve.

Aint nothing new out here in the city of Anaheim, these pigs have been killing innocent people for years now and there not all gangbangers! Recently things have been getting worse cuz there putting lil 19 year olds, coming home from iraq and putting them on the gang enforcement team and they're all quick to pull the trigger most likely cuz there scared and confused! Theres young kids patrolling our neighborhoods with a sig and a badge thinking its ok to shoot someone in the back just cuz he runs? Fck the police department and there lil racist scared to death gang unit they got out here on the streets right now, without your fcken badge your just a lil punkass whiteboy that got picked on throughout your childhood and most likely your dad molested your stupidass hah! But yeah fck the gang unit and the whole fcken Anaheim police department and this kurupt government we have going on...Anyways, life goes on and it's just another fcken day out here and ain't nothing gonna change except the date and time, its all just gonna get worse...So lets just move on and wait to see who's next?

Do you remember they KILLED an unarmed man? Since when do we condone cops acting like vigilantes? Are they judge and jury now? According to you, throwing rocks is the problem - not murderers on the police force.

STOMPER! I wonder how the young man received that name. It is funny how in these neighborhoods the only thing that matters is protest and crying over dead gang members. No education, no job prospects, no desire to better the next generation, just a bunch of screaming idiots throwing rocks and bottles, I guess I am really tired of kids not caring about anything and always blaming the police for their problems
