Don't be so desperate let him buy it himself.

I have the fast track but what I do I get on the fast track without using my fast track. Since I still have dealer plates there is no way I will get caught. I have been doing this for almost a year. But I agree the tolls are expensive. They want to take advantage of people well now I am taking advantage of them. hehe
they will track you down..

trust me..

I was using a rental.. in a month they had me tracked down..

I had forgotten to put my transponder in the dash window...

I agree.. he should pay for it.. not you

but..

info on the fast track, you can get it from two different companies

http://www.91expresslanes.com/

or

http://www.thetollroads.com/home/index.htm

Look at both because they each have different plans and depending on your needs, one might suit you more than the other

I have the 91 expresslanes, my son gets his through the tollroads..

I like mine because I pay $20 a month but get $1.00 off each toll on the 91 when I take it.. if you go through there a lot, it is worth it

they also have other plans...

My son liked the tollroads because (at the time he signed up two years ago) they had a plan that there is no month charge for the transponder, only the actual full toll charge. Since he didn't use it all that often it was the best deal for him...

When I had signed up orginally, I was using the 91 toll lanes 10 times a week, so the $1.00 off savings was a break in the costs..

so like I said.. either are good companies, just have your bf look at the plans and see which one suits him most

Thanks for the info Sassi. ANd for the comments on he should pay. He pays for everything, includin stuff that I need for me or my kids so when I can do something nice for him, I do. And nobody else should care unless it's themselves.

weekends are quieter.. If I was taking the 91, I might avoid the toll and take the mainline roads

Keep in mind the fast track works on both the 91 express lanes and the 'toll roads'. It just depends on where you are wanting to go. If I am heading west, I would be taking the 91 express.. if I am heading down to Irvine, then the 241

On the 91, motorcyles are considered 'full capacity' so they can go in the 3+ lane. Its free all of the time I believe West..

East it is, except 4-6m. then it is half price

They are freakin unbelievable. I have had fast track since May 2008. My replinshment amount is $17.00. When I hit the $17.00 they automatically take $50.00 from my checking account. I watch it all the time and track where and how much I have left before hitting $17.00. Yesterday I find out that they raised it to $115.00 and now my replinshment amount is $36.00. They took $115.00 out of my account and didn't even give me any heads up that they were doing this. After I called them they reversed the charge of $115.00 and lowered it back down to $50.00 but I am still out the $34.00 NSF charge from my bank. Words can not explain how pissed off I am. Effers!

I don't use the tolls on the 91, only used 241 twice.
We pay taxs, tolls on everything, we are just taxed to death in CAL.

Have you ever noticed Blacks dont use the 91 toll roads? I use them about 2-3 times a week and I never see blacks using the toll roads. Interesting....
