WinCo Foods is the WORST Employer I have ever had the displeasure of coming across. Are all the other employees on food stamps while working for them too??? Is it normal for the Person In Charge to yell at new employees during their training??? Do the customers at all WinCo stores complain about the management??? Do all employees that don't have to be on food stamps degrade those who are??? Even when they have a job??? Working at WinCo!!! Do all stores hire new employees to avoid paying medical and giving the current employees the hours they need and want??? Do all WinCo's give their buddies more hours and neglect other faithful employees??? Is it common practice in a very high theft store to fire the employees for not catching a thief??? Is it ethically right to fire employees for filing for unemployment when they are only scheduled for 5-18 hours for the week when they were told at hire it is full time??? Do all WinCo's practice bad employment practices or is it just the one in Federal Way, Washington??? This is just the beginning. Sure they have great prices, but even those have been going up and I have seen the prices at Fred Meyers consistently beating WinCo's prices for many items now. The other stores are catching on to the economy and beating WinCo's prices now with great customer service and help to your pocketbook!

I do not understand all the negative comments written by winco employees. I have been working for winco foods for 18 years and I love it! I work for a company that has great benefits, an esop, pays well, and is a very stable company with a lot of opportunity for growth. There are so few companies that are going as strong as winco...especially with the economy as it is right now. I am a college graduate, however I never went into the field I went to school for. I started a summer "job" 18 years ago that I thought would last for a few months at the most. I fell in love with it and have never looked back nor regretted my decision to stay. Im happy to say that had I chosen my field of study I would likely today be out of a job, instead I chose a career at winco foods. Its the best company ever!!

Winco is the worst company to work for! They give points for everything no matter what. Even if you have a doctors note for an emergency. Even if you're standing right next to the time clock talking to someone and accidentally clock in one minute late. There is no grace what so ever. They don't care about anybody. They treat their employees like nazi's. Not to mention you have to keep up with their freakin' insane schedule!!!

Is there a WinCo store opening in Las Vegas. Saw a sign near 215N and Decatur. If so, when are you slated to open? Saw the sign today and am anxiously awaiting Winco's arrival. Thanks.

Three yrs ago when my mother passed away, Winco Foods whom i had worked for for 8 yrs decided to turn very vicious against me showing apsolutely no compassion for a family member of mine who just died. Not to mention that (yes i know i should have never got involved with another female employee at the Kent, WA store)at the same time a crisis was happening in my family, my so called girlfriend was sleeping with my direct supervisor. This put in an even greater distraught state of mind and i had a nervoues break down. After i had asked to see a councelor at my request and take a complete leave of absense from the company, a lady by the name of Karen Stinger-Biggs who works at the corporate office in Boise, ID calls me up at my place of residence after being on FMLA ( Family Medical Leave Act) to inform me that she was letting me go from the company for supposed threats that i had made to my girlfriend and my fellow co-workers in my dept that i had worked with. I had told Karen that it was i lie and that it was all not true. I always thought that Winco Foods Company was a great Company to work for until that very moment and i thought that Karen Biggs was a decent person who i thought had some compassion for human life, but it is clear to me that she does not. My fellow Winco stock share holders who are out their and read these blogs here at this site beware of Karen Stinger-Biggs she is a vendictive person who will stab you in the back and betray you when you are at your worst time in your life. Do not trust her what-so-ever and do not trust anyone else in corporate management either because if you say anything or do anything wrong the first time she will fire you without even giving you a chance to redeem yourself or pull your life back together. Winco Foods and Karen Biggs have no compassion for someone who is grieving over the loss of a family member nor do they care about the employees itself in the company. When it comes down to it, they don't care about anybody really all they care about is the money rolling everyday. In fact now that our stock took a massive hit this year they are taking our stock money from us too. The last time i knew this sort of thing was called stealing and it should not be tolorated. Winco Foods does not mind prosecuting others for stealing from them. I think that we the stock share holders should have the right to sue them in a court of law for theft of stock shares. It's like giving a piece of candy to a child, and then later on going back and taking that piece of candy back from that child. I call it being an indian giver. Yes, they do treat their employees like they are nazi's in a prison camp. If you are late one minute on the clock, then they ding you 2 points or you get a direct supervisor constantly hounding you about everything you might be doing wrong when you are working, like Richard Tunzet did to me when i worked at the McMinnville, OR store. It's amazing to me that their are harassment laws that are supposed to protect the employees and yet the management in the stores get away with constantly harassing their own employees. Take it from me, Winco Foods is the worst company to ever work for. They are all a bunch of cold heartless people who don't give a rat's ass about nobody and they treat their employees like they are slave's working in a cotten field picking cotten. If you are an employee who works for Winco Foods who is reading this blog right now, take my advise and be very careful of what you say, do, think, around anyone who is of higher authority in the company because people like Karen Biggs who works at Corporate office in Boise, ID will make sure that you will get fired. I have to say she is the biggest Vampire of the whole company. Apsolutely cold blooded and evil.
