Vito sounds like he has a lot going on for him, a real catch!!! I mean, a dishwasher pays what,$5.50/hr? I guess it's not enough to get the teardrops under his right eye finished. He must've put them on layaway, he could only afford the outline at the time.

And why is the mother letter her 14 year old go unsupervised to Manchester? Shame on her.

I hope shes ok.

Yeah Vito sounds like a very career oriented individual. And anybody putting teardrops on their face is low class/ghetto or retarded. I'm all for freedom of expression and being unique - but how is society supposed to respect a guy with tattoos on his face?

He sounds like a scary dude.

First off I know Amber from Ellington where she lived previously. My daughter use to be friendly with her. Amber has two very good parents. She now lives with her mom and to be honest the past 1-1-1/2 years Amber has put her through hell. She's not free to do what she wants. her mom does work and have a oyoung child to take care of and punishments etc aren't workign because she has just become unruly. She was a nice kid that just went wrong. Amber if your reading this, go home your mom has been through enough shit, she doesn't need this from you. Your also to good of a kid to be used by these older guys. I wish the best for you both.

Why would a parent let a 14 year old child, spend time with a 24 year old loser?

FYI:
Tear tat's under the eye represent the number of people you have murdered.

Years ago each tear drop was a symbol of the number of kills you had. Sounds like she got herself caught up with a real good one.

Wow - you people are tough. It's impossible to supervise teenagers 24/7. They can tell you they are in one place and be somewhere else. It doesn't mean the parents aren't being good parents or not paying attention. It's easy for kids to get out of control and very frustrating & heartbreaking for parents. Let's show some understanding when no one really knows all the facts.

Why does everyone assume the worst. Perhaps Vito's only intention was to sell her into slavery for drugs!!?? If she was my daughter, no one would find Vito and I'd have a new tear drop under my eye.

Who needs tattoo's of tears when you have a story like this? It's enough to make the real tears fall. I don't believe 13 year old kids just "Go Bad." Sounds like a dysfunctional family situation.

now that i have seen the losers picture, the mother should be locked up for unfit parenting and a family member should take the child.
You have no idea what your talking about. Her mom did not know this guy. Her daughter met him without her knowing. Amber does need to be taken away though. She has serious issues and she's unruly and she's only getting worse. I'm sure she'll wind up in a detention center or something. I hope she finds herself again.

Her parents went through a divorce recently and she's gone down hill since. She does have issues though. Like a Bi-Polar personality. Good kid but was always up and down. I wish her luck.

I guess the majority of you do not have teenage children. Teenagers in the State of Connecticut have more rights then the parents. Your child can be as rude and disrespectful as they want to be and if you do anything to them, you get in trouble. If you spank them, you get in trouble. If they walk out of the house with out your permission and you lock them out you get in trouble. If they do not go to school, you get in trouble. You can call the police but once your child turns 15 the will not go looking for them. So all of you have so much to say about the parent why donít you check out the state laws first. Our hands are tied!!

her mother would never let her be unsupervised in manchester - get your facts straight - and her parents would never let her hang out with a 24 year old - she came from a good home with supervision and just went downhill fast

Nobody "let" her spend time with this loser. Don't judge people if you don't know what has happened.

None of this is good. At least the parent is working with the authorities.

I don't have kids, but I know it can't be easy. Hard to find fault with the parents without knowing more.

I would direct a little more anger and suspicion at the guy involved in this disappearance.

Kids disappear and usually end up in drugs, raped, pregnant, beaten, whatever...they don't know how to make the right choices in life, and sick adults take advantage of them.

This dishwasher guy--not good at all...

My prayers are with Amber and her family. Her mom must be going out of her mind. I feel so bad for her. I also feel so bad for Amber she's a good kid but right now just a lost little girl. Good luck to your family.
