Why do people get divorced. I am writing a paper on this subject and would like some feedback on this issue. If you are divorced or are thinking about getting a divorce, then why is this? Thanks for your cooperation in this matter.

Cause they got married for the sex, then when that wore off, they hated each other.. That's one reason to follow the Bible, most long term marriages are between Christians.

I agree with the first part 100%. Fortunately for me, even after 10 years together, me and my ex never got married so the break up didn't have that added stress. The second part is a mindless brainwashed comment. The Bible is just a book for people to quote and claim to live by which in turn makes them better than everyone else, example being your statement...you're basically saying if everyone followed the Bible as christian, no one would get divorced...as in your beliefs make you better fit for marriage than others...which is judging others lives...which a "good christian shouldn't do...right?? Actually, who really knows what's right with such contrary statements as the Bible...:"Judging of others forbidden" ~ Matt 7:1,2, later in 1 Cor 6:2-4/ 1 Cor 5:12:"Judging of others approved" Did you know that despite claims to the contrary, not a single biblical book endorses marriage between one man and one woman for the purposes of procreation??? That's right, and being directed at men, the laws attributed to Moses assume that Israelites will marry as many wives as they can reasonably support. By contrast, when Jesus speaks about marriage, he largely warns against it, presenting family life as a distracting waste of time. The apostle Paul makes similar claims, teaching that celibacy is the best choice for Jesus' followers. He recommends marriage only as a concession to those unable to keep their sexual impulses in check. Later New Testament writers do sanction marriage, but not for the sake of procreation and romantic love. Instead, marriage is portrayed as a venue for testing the fitness of male church leaders, who are told to love their wives and to be kind to their slaves. Wives, children and slaves, however, must obey the men in charge, no matter what, and this in a culture where the sexual access of masters to their slaves was simply presupposed. Biblical books never speak to marriage as currently practiced in the US and what they do say is totally contradictory. As a matter of fact, lets see what the "good book" says about marriage in a more specific point of view, in Gen 2:18/ Gen 1:28/ Matt 19:5/ Heb 13:4 it says "Marriage is approved" but yet in 1 Cor 7:1/ 1 Cor 7:7,8 it says "Marriage is disapproved". And while we're at it, lets see about the subject at hand; divorce: Deut 24:1/ Deut 21:10,11,14 says "Freedom of divorce is permitted" but yet Matt 5:32 states "Divorce is restricted".... Gen 20:11,12/ Gen 17:16 says Abraham married his sister and God blessed the union...but isn't incest a sin (and also disquesting)??? I could go on and on and on about any topic you choose but that's not the issue here and I think you get my point by now. Divorce is caused by incompatibility, spur of the moment, married against one's will, and just plain old growing apart from each other over time and having the ability to accept that and give each other the chance to be happy again. I personally know more non-christians that have been married a lot longer than the so called christians I know. The "christians I know that have been married a long time and is very apparent that they can't stand each other by constant arguing and fighting but won't consider divorce due to their beliefs, are not only creating more hatred toward each other, but they are also damaging the minds of their children who have to watch the fighting all the time. So save your holy rolling Bible babbling bullsh!t for the church and use the time you send trying to brainwash people to actually study up on the crap you preach so you won't be living such a fake, contradictive life.

Daily Horoscope for June 19

Leo

You need to vary your domestic routine slightly today to avoid feeling bored or restless, especially if the day threatens to be rather predictable. Think of ways to introduce a note of spontaneity into the proceedings, even if they're very minor, because they'll make you feel more lively and on the ball. If you're going shopping you'll be tempted by some impulse buys.
