Where is there a local shelter that i can volunteer at?

I just heard a report they are closing shelters in many areas. This is why FEMA or other should already be near ravaged areas with trailers and rented spaces like hotels, auditoriums, gymnasiums etc.

The damaged infrastructure won't even allow volunteers and recusers in.
